Tuesday Challenge #5

Hi everyone, it is the 5th week of my 'Tuesday Challenge' to use a stamp set and other goodies from the Annual Catalogue to create a card or other project.

I have used the 'Touches of Texture' stamp set for the flower image and the sentiment is from the 'Itty Bitty Greetings' stamp set.

The image was coloured using ink pads and a blender pen.  The blender pen gives a great colour contrast on the petals as the more you colour the lighter the colour becomes.  It is a quick and fun way to colour your images.

A Touch of Highland Heather

I love playing with new product and seeing what I can create.

Gray Granite and Highland Heather are two of the new colours being introduced with the colour revamp for 2018-2019.

The background was stamped with Gray Granite on a Gray Granite card base.  The image is from the Touches of Texture stamp set.  The two leaf images are from the Rooted in Nature stamp set, the larger leaf was stamped with Gray Granite on Whisper White and the other leaf was stamped with Highland  Heather (stamped off once) on Whisper White.  These were cut out using the matching Nature's Roots Framelits.  I love it when there is a matching die for the stamp set, it makes card making so much easier.

Three foliage filler leaves were cut from Silver Foil Sheet using the die from the Sweet Cake Framelits.  I layered these together to form the floral arrangement which was adhered over the lattice piece which was made from the Stained Glass Framelits.  A piece of Very Vanilla Polka Dot Tulle ribbon was also added behind the floral arrangement (I did not know that this ribbon came in Whisper White as well until recently, I was lucky enough to receive the Very Vanilla Ribbon at OnStage).

Did you notice the Silver leaves? These are from the Leaves Trinkets.  They come in Copper and Silver, perfect for that added embellishment.

The sentiment is from the Detailed With Love stamp set and die cut using the Stitched Labels Framelits.

Stained Glass Technique

Hi everyone, sharing a quick post today on the Stained Glass Technique.  There is a great tutorial on Splitcoaststampers here.

I embossed my image, from the 'Touches of Texture' stamp set using Silver as I liked the finished look better than the White embossing powder.  The sentiment is from the 'Balloon Celebrations' stamp set.

The image was coloured using Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive and Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Markers.

The card base is Wisteria Wonder and the patterned paper is from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack.  A few silver metallic enamel dots were added to finish the card.

You can get all the supplies you need for this project from me.
