Happy Wedding Day

I made this card for my brother and sister-in-law to give to a friend for a recent wedding that they were invited to.  I don't tend to make a lot of wedding cards but I really enjoyed creating this one using one of my favourite card sketches.

I have used a piece of Frosted Florals Specialty Designer Series Paper with a colour of scheme of Gray Granite, Powder Pink and Whisper White.

The sentiment is from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set that was stamped using Powder Pink ink.

The framelits I used are the Frosted Bouquet and Stitched Labels. A few Clear Rhinestone Jewels were added for a bit of bling.  What is a wedding card without a bit of bling, right!

Congratulations

Hi everyone, sharing a Congratulations card I made using one of my favourite colours. Merry Merlot. I have used a piece of the striped Merry Merlot pattern paper from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper along with the stamp sets First Frost and Healing Hugs.

I did a bit of fussy cutting on the rose and leaves.  I stamped the rose image using Merry Merlot ink on Whisper White cardstock and the leaves were stamped with Mossy Meadow on Whisper White cardstock before cutting them out.  I have layered these on my card front with some foliage and leaves created using the Foliage Frame Framelits and the Frosted Bouquet Framelits.

The 'Congratulations' sentiment is from the First Frost stamp set.  I stamped this with Black Momento Ink.

The decorate lace edge behind the flower panel was made using the Delicate Lace Edgelits.  A Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon bow was added to finish my card.

Simple Joys of Christmas

This is a project I designed for a Stamp Camp held by my beautiful friend Pat Carr.  I was not able to attend this year, but I made this card at our stamp retreat at Dwellingup in late September and offerred to kit it up for Pat.  Hopefully the ladies enjoyed making it.

This is the same card sketch that I have used before.  You get 12 cards from a 12" x 12" piece of patterned paper as you cut the paper into 2" strips.

The stamp set is Christmas Pines with the foliage and leaves being cut using the Pretty Pines Thinits.  The striped patterned paper is from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.   The panel behind the centre spray has been embossed using the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Red Stripes

I was having a bit of trouble using the Cherry Cobbler stripe patterned paper in the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper Pack.  This is the card that I finally settled on using the Farmhouse Christmas stamp set and matching Farmhouse Framelits.

The colour scheme is Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White and Basic Black.

Christmas Tree

This card is very quick and easy to make.  It uses the Lovely As A Tree stamp set which was stamped in Mossy Meadow.

The patterned paper is from the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper pack.  Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to the tree for decoration.

If you were wanting to do some stamping and creating with kids, this would be a perfect card.  You can have all the bits cut to size and they can do some simple stamping, sticking and decorating with a few Red Rhinestones and they are done.

Merry Christmas

This card is great to use the small strips and left over pieces of patterned paper.  I cased the design from Pinterest

I love the layout and thought that it was a perfect card to use the Merry Christmas Thinlits on.

I cut out the word "Christmas" once using the patterned paper and then once using Early Espresso cardstock.  I used the Mutipurpose Adhesive Sheets as I found it easier to adhere the two layers of the die cut word "Christmas" together.  The patterned paper is from the Under The Mistletoe Designer Series Paper pack.

The word "Merry" is from the Merry Christmas To All stamp set which is stamped in Early Espresso.  Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to finish.

Farmhouse Christmas

The inspiration for this card came from page 12 of the 2018 Holiday Catalogue.

The images were stamped on Shimmery White cardstock before colouring with Watercolor Pencils and an Aquapainter and then cut out using the Farmhouse Framelits.   The patterned paper is from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.

Did you notice the corrugated piece behind centre panel.  Was was made using the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Powder, Crumb Cake cardstock and White Craft Ink.

I was on a roll, enjoying colouring the house and tree so I made another card along similar lines.

Gift Box

I didn't just make Christmas Cards at the recent stamp retreat at Dwellingup.  I designed this gift box for my October Classes.

The box stands 4 1/4" high is 3 1/4 wide and 2 1/2 deep.

The box base and lid are made using Soft Suede cardstock with the Designer Series Paper from the Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The sides of the box were decorated with pieces of Soft Suede cardstock that were embossed with the Tin Tile Dynamic Textures Impressions Embossing Folder and then Frost White Shimmer Paint daubed on.

The top of the box is decorated using the First Frost stamp set, Stitched Labels Framelits and the Merry Merlot & Copper Reversible Ribbon.

Another Christmas Card

Another of my Christmas projects from a recent stamping retreat.

The design for this card I took from the recent Rocklea Road Chocolate Box that was one of my September class projects.

It is a quick and simple design and great if you are wanting to make a lot of cards quickly.  The card uses the Labels to Love stamp set, the Label Punch, Sprig Punch and Triple Banner Punch along with the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper, Gold Foil Sheet and the Striped Burlap Trim.  You can just sit, stamp and punch to your heart's content.

Frosted Florals

I love a pretty floral pattern paper.  The new Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper is just gorgeous with the shimmery finish to the paper.

I have used the First Frost stamp set and the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set.  The flowers were stamped using Blackberry Bliss ink and cut out using the matching Frosted Bouquet Framelits.  The leaves were cut out using the Frosted Bouquet Framelits and Mossy Meadow and Old Olive cardstock.

To make this card cut the patterned paper in 1" x 4" strips and mat these onto 1 1/4" x 4 1/4 pieces of cardstock. A 3/4" strip of Blackberry Bliss cardstock with Whisper White Bakers Twine wrapped around was adhere across the strips underneath the flower panel. The panel with the flowers is 2 1/4" x 3 1/5" piece of Whisper White, 2 1/5 x 3 3/4 Blackberry Bliss and 2 3/4" x 4" Gray Granite cardstock.

The pink pearls are from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.  for the inside of my card I stamped foliage image using Mossy Meadow in the bottom right corner.

Christmas is in the Air (Well Just Not Yet)

I had a weekend away at the Redgum Retreat at Dwellingup last weekend with a group of friends  for weekend of stampin', chattin' and laughin'.  It was so great to get out of suburbia for a while.

I decided to make Christmas Cards as my projects for the weekend and I will be sharing these with you over the next few weeks.

This card was made using the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper and the Farmhouse Christmas stamp set.

Needing a Little Inspiration

I cased myself for this card.  I was in need of a little inspiration and I just love the colour combination of Gray Granite, Highland Heather, Whisper White and Basic Black so I used the floral spray I created on a previous card.

I have used a two stamp sets and several framelit sets in making my card.

  •  Rooted in Nature stamp set
  •  Nature's Roots Framelits
  •  Stitched Labels Framelits
  •  Sweet Cake Framelits
  •  Detailed with Love stamp set
The card sketch is one that found on Pinterest a while ago and had put in my ideas book.  This is a great layout as it uses 2" strips of Designer Series Paper, so you can get 12 cards from one 12" x 12" sheet of paper.
