Copper Flowers

Hi everyone, I have been playing with the new Seasonal Decorative Masks and Copper Foil Sheets available in the new Holiday Catalogue.

The background was made using Shimmery White cardstock and creating a watercolour background with Peekaboo Peach, Always Artichoke and Pool Party reinkers, Stampin' Spritzer and an Aquapainter.

White Craft ink was then stamped over this using Timeless Textures and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets.   Golden Fibre Paste was then added using the Seasonal Decorative Masks, I love the texture that this adds to the card.

The floral arrangement was made using Botanical Builder Framelits with some Peekaboo Peach Enamel Shapes added for accent.

Baci Box

Hi everyone, sharing a little gift box that holds three Baci chocolates and a matching card.

The Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper was perfect for this project as it matched the blue and silver wrapping on the chocolates.

The card measurements are in metric and the Baci box measurements are in imperial as I found it easier to make the box using imperial.

To make the card:

Measurements

Cut a piece of A4 Night of Navy Cardstock in half lengthwise to create card base
Cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock 10 cm x 14.3cm (for inside card)
Cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock 9cm x 13.3cm
Cut a piece of Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper 8.5cm x 9.3cm

Technique

Fold card base in half.

Adhere the piece of Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper to the 9cm x 13.3cm Whisper White Cardstock piece.

Put a strip of Washi Tape across the card front where the patterned paper meets the Whisper White cardstock.

Stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy ink on the bottom of the panel for the card front.  Adhere this panel to the card front.

Cut out the flower and leaves using the Botanical Builder framelits and Whisper White cardstock, Night of Navy cardstock and Silver Foil Sheet and arrange in a bouquet on the card front.   Add a Rhinestone to the flower centre.

For the inside of the card put a strip of Washi Tape across the Whisper White piece for the inside of the card.  Adhere in place.

To make the box:

Measurements

Cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock 4 1/16" x 5 9/16"
Cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock 8 1/2" x 5 3/4"

Box Insert

Score the 81/2" x 5 3/4" piece of cardstock at 1" & 2 1/4" on all four sides.  Fold & burnish all score lines.

Cut as per template.

Punch a small hole using the 1/8" handheld circle punch on the square coloured red.  Thread a piece of looped ribbon through the hole and secure the ends with tape on the inside.

Put glue or double sided tape on the 4 tabs to be folded in to form the box.

Put glue or double sided tape on the inside of the 4 outer tabs, and fold over to reinforce the sides.

Cover

Score the 4 1/16" x 5 9/16" piece of cardstock on the long edge at 1/2", 1 3/4", 3 1/16" & 4 5/16".  Fold and burnish all score lines.

Add double sided tape to one edge and form the cover around the box insert to create the cover, making sure that it is not too tight as the box needs to be able to be pulled out with the ribbon pull.

Wrap

Cut a piece of patterned paper 4" x 5 9/16".  Score on the long edge at 7/16", 1 3/4", 3 1/16" & 4 5/16".  Put double sided tape on the cover and secure wrap around the box.  Decorate using the Botanical Builder Framelits, Whisper White cardstock, Night of Navy cardstock and Silver Foil Sheet.

Pretty Quartet ...

Hi everyone, sharing a pretty quartet of cards.  I have been playing this afternoon with the Hello You Thinlits.  I started off by just making one card and as I was stamping, sponging and sticking I had the idea to use the same card layout but change the words to use each of the thinlits, and before I knew it I had four cards.

Cardstock used is Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette, Watermelon Wonder and Old Olive.  The background was made by inking the Brick Wall embossing folder with Whisper White Craft ink and embossing a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.

The stamp sets used are Crazy About You, Bloomin' Love and Botanical Blooms.  The sentiments were stamped with Crumb Cake ink onto banners that were made by cutting strips of Crumb Cake cardstock 1.5cm and making the flag ends using the Banner Punch. The tag was made using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch with Very Vanilla Thick Bakers Twine added to the top of each tag. The flowers were made using the Botanical Builder Framelits, with the Old Olive leaf stamped with the matching image in the Botanical Blooms stamp set.  All pieces were inked on the edges with Whisper White Craft ink, including the flowers, leaves and flower centres.

Just a few little flowers ...

Just a quick post today, sharing a card I made using the Botanical Builder Framelits (I have not quite worn them out yet).

I was in a bit of a floral mood when I was designing some cards for fund raising at work and this is one of my creations.  I have used the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper, a Tea Lace Doily, sequins and the Rose Wonder stamp set.  I love the font on the sentiments in this stamp set.

Botanical Birthday

Hi everyone, sharing a little more information on the card that I made for my Stampin' Up! entry for the opportunity to stamp projects for the OnStage display boards for the April Event.

I started with a Watermelon Wonder A2 card and cut off 4.5cm from the front.  I then added a Whisper White mat 5.5cm x 14.3cm to which a piece of Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper 5cm x 13.8cm was added.

Using the second largest framelit I cut 2 Watermelon Wonder Deco Label pieces (one for the inside). The one for the card front I adhered with double sided tape, lining up the points on the centre top and bottom of the Deco Label with the edge of the card front.

Using the second smallest framelit I cut 2 Whisper White Deco Label pieces (one for the inside).  This was embossed using the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhere to the larger Watermelon Wonder Deco Label.

I then stamped "Happy Birthday" from the Rose Wonder stamp set using Archival Black Ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock 3cm x 8cm.  I adhered this to a Watermelon Wonder cardstock mat 3.5cm x 8.5cm and then adhered it to the card front centred across the Deco Label, making sure that the edge of the sentiment panel was lined up with the edge of the inside of the card (hope this makes sense but just look at the picture and you will see what I mean).

I cut my flower from Blushing Bride cardstock and the leaves from Mossy Meadow and Old Olive cardstock using the Botanical Builder Framelits.  I sponged Watermelon Wonder on the flower centre and then added a Watermelon Wonder stamen piece, an Iced Rhinestone was added to finish the flower. The Old Olive leaves were stamped with Old Olive ink using the Botanical Blooms stamp set.  The leaves and flowers were arranged on the side of the Deco Label piece, a Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper butterfly was add along with some Blushing Bride enamel glitter dots from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit.

For the inside cover of the card I added a Whisper White cardstock mat 5.5cm x 14.3cm to which a piece of Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper 5cm x 13.8cm was added.  For the inside back of the card I added a Whisper White cardstock mat 14.3cm x 10cm and a piece of Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper 13.8cm x 9.5cm.  The Deco Labels were adhered to finish the card.

Note Cards in a Box - Botanical Garden

Check out this absolutely amazing project design by the Stampin' Up Concept Artists and presented by Patty Bennett and Sara Douglass. You can view the video here and find out more on Patty's blog here.

The very talented Anne-Marie has adjusted the size to fit the Note Cards and Envelopes.  All the hard work has been done for us.

Naturally I just had to try it.

This is my box I made, decorated the same but I amended the measurements to fit a C6 size envelope.

The cards are different, made using the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper, Botanical Builder Framelits Dies, Rose Garden Thinlits Dies, stamp sets Botanical Blooms, Rose Wonder and Picture Perfect.

A little bit of Gold ...

Hi everyone, I am playing along with the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches this week.  The sketch actually has a circle but I have used a heart instead.

The inspiration for using the heart behind a floral image came from Amy O'Neill one of Stampin' Up Design Artisans.

I have gone with a gold and white theme for my card, it would make a great wedding card.  I did try the Gold Wink of Stella pen on the "Congrats" wooden element however I liked the natural look better.

After I finished my card I actually realised that I did not do one bit of stamping, the entire card was made using Whisper White Cardstock, Gold Foil Sheet, Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, Gold Glimmer Paper, dies and punches.

This card is quick and easy to make, it only took me 15 minutes.

Flowers for Mum

Hi everyone,  I have come to the conclusion that the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies would have to be my favourite item in the Occasions Catalogue.  Sharing another project made using this beautiful die set and the matching stamp set Botanical Blooms.

I wanted a scalloped edge on the top piece and as we do not have any border punches now that do this, I used the scalloped square from the Squares Collection Framelits.  It is amazing when you have a look at the different Framelit Collections how many of them could be used to create an edging.

The top piece of Whisper White was embossed using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder (I was so happy that this was carried over from the Holiday Catalogue).  The Designer Series Paper is from the Go Wild Designers Series Paper Stack which I matted onto a piece of vellum from the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack that is in the Sale-A-Brations Catalogue.  This I adhered to the Tip Top Taupe cardbase.  Don't forget that until the 31 March 2015 for every $90 you spend you get to choose an item from the Sale-A-Brations Catalogue for free.

Close up of the flower, the main flower was made using Pink Pirouette cardstock and the centre then sponged with Watermelon Wonder.  The small flowers were made using Watermelon Wonder cardstock and Tip Top Taupe cardstock.  The leaves were cut from Mossy Meadow and Old Olive cardstock. The Old Olive leaf was stamped with the matching stamp from the Botanical Blooms stamp set with Old Olive ink. Metallic Silver Thread was added to the back of the flowers with silver sequins and Rhinestones added for a bit of bling.  The centre of the large flower is an Iced Rhinestone.

The sentiment is from the And Many More stamp set, stamped in Watermelon Wonder ink on Whisper White and punched out using the Word Window Punch.  This was matted onto a Tip Top Taupe Washi Label Punch piece.

If you are interested in placing an order please contact me here.  Don't for get that for every $90 you get an item free from the Sale-A-Brations Catalogue.

My Friend

Just getting my card making fix in for today after celebrating my Mum's 80th Birthday.

I am playing along with the challenge at ColourQ to use the colours Kraft, Pool Party, Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride and White.

I used the Watercolor Wash stamp for the background.  I inked it up with Pool Party, misted it with water and then stamped it onto a piece of Shimmery White cardstock.  This I adhered onto a mat of Melon Mambo and then adhered this to the cardbase.

Do you like the pink leaves?  I sponged Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo onto a piece of Shimmery White cardstock and then cut out the leaves using the Botanical Builder Framelits.  The flower was made using the same Framelits, cutting the flower from Shimmery White cardstock and the flower centre from the same piece that I cut the leaves from.  An Iced Rhinestone was added to the flower centre.

I looped some of the Silver Metallic Thread behind the leaves and flowers and added some silver sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment for a bit of bling.  The sentiment is from the And Many More stamp set.

A Little bit of Elegance

I just had to make some more of these beautiful gold flowers using the Botanical Builder Framelits and Gold Foil Sheet, they are just so elegant.

To showcase these beautiful flowers, I made a matching gift bag and card using the Basic Black sheet from the Color Me Irresistible Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This paper has a beautiful sheen to the diagonal stripe.  I added some Gold Foil Sheet and Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum banners along with some Gold Satin Ribbon for the bow.

The little gift card is 3" x 3" and I made a matching Basic Black envelope.

The gift bag was made using the Gift Bag Punch Board and a piece of the Basic Black Colour Me Irresistibly Specialty Designer Series Paper cut at 11" x 7".

Beautiful Gold Metallic Flower

Hi everyone, just sharing my card for the Can You Case It sketch challenge.   When I saw the post by Sharon Burkert showcasing the beautiful gold metallic flower that I have cased for my card I knew that the sketch was just perfect.  Sharon's card is absolutely amazing so go and check it out.

I thought that this card would be great for a wedding or a special celebration.

How fabulous is this flower, made using Gold Foil Sheet, Gold Glimmer Paper, Iced Rhinestones and the Botanical Builder Framelits.  The sentiment is from the "Timeless Love" stamp set and the I used the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Pack layered over the Gold Foil Sheet for the centre panel.
