A Little Box of Birthday Cheer

Christmas in July

Hi everyone, today a group of ladies had some fun at my place getting a head start on making their Christmas Cards.  We had a "Christmas in July" Stamp-a-Stack get together and everyone went home with 16 completed cards.

The cards were made using the "This Christmas" Specialty Designer Series Paper along with the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate.

The cards are designed using two simple sketches.  As it was a Stamp-a-Stack project the simpler the designs the better as everyone was making 4 of each card.

This card is very quick and easy to make with some Regals Enamel Shapes added as an embellishment.

This card looks like it has a lot of work, but a few quick die cuts and it comes together quickly.

This card uses the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate, this has a gold side and a silver side on the reverse.  The Holly Texture Impressions Embossing Folder was used on the Very Vanilla background piece.

Christmas in July

Thank You Box of Cards

Hi everyone, sharing one of the projects that I made for my Catalogue Launch Party.

It is a "Box of Cards" with four cards and matching envelopes.  I used the Crumb Cake Note Cards and Envelopes, these are a great alternative for a quick and easy card base and matching envelope.

I stamped the background patterned paper using the Number of Years stamp set.  I am a bit of a "Neutrals" girl, I especially love everything Crumb Cake.   The inks used are Basic Black Archival, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate.

2016/17 Annual Catalogue Launch Party

Come and join in the fun at my place on Monday, 6th June 2016, from 1pm to 2pm for the 2016/17 Annual Catalogue launch.

2016/17 Annual Catalogue Launch Party

Fundraiser for Type 1 Junior Diabetes Research

My Great Niece, Harper Rose, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 18 months, so on Saturday, 9th July 2016 from 9am to 4.30pm I will be holding a fundraiser for research into Type 1 Junior Diabetes.  Harper is the cutest little girl who has just turned 3 and is such a trooper with all that she has been through and what she lives with day to day.  There is no cure for Type 1 Diabetes so research is so important to help find a cause and cure for this disease. 

On the day of the fundraiser you will be making 8 projects that you get to take home. It is BYO lunch with morning and afternoon tea supplied.  Cost is $60 per person.  If you live in or near Perth, Western Australia and would like to come and join in the fun and help raise funds for this research please send me an email at carolyn.king@bigpond.com.

Fundraiser for Type 1 Junior Diabetes Research

#6MONTHSTAMPINGGOALS

At our recent On Stage local event we were encouraged to set a 6 month stamping goal.  It does not have to be anything with a big WOW factor, just something small would be okay.

I am going to go with the something small to start with by adding an extra stamping event to my calendar each month.  I had already started to do this by adding the Memory Keeping classes twice a month.  I am going to now add a special event each month, with the first one already schedule for Mother's Day.

A lot of the ladies who attend my classes do not have children or no longer have their Mum with them.  I am lucky enough to still have my Mum living with me so I am sharing her on Mother's Day and we are going to do the One-sheet Wonder Class.  All the details can be found here.
