Best Dressed Designer Series Paper - Day 7

Hi everyone, sharing the project for Day 7 (and the final day) of the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper cards.

These two cards I made using one of my favourite sketches for using a 6" x 6" piece of patterned paper.  I cut the paper into 2" x 3" pieces so you can get 6 cards from the one piece of paper.

I made 3 each of these two cards, 3 using Lovely Lipstick as a card base and the other 3 using Old Olive as a card base.

Again decorated using my favourite daisy flowers.

Hope you enjoyed my 7 days of Best Dressed Designer Series Paper projects.

Thank you for visiting.

Best Dressed Designer Series Paper - Day 6

Hi everyone, sharing the project for Day 6 of the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper cards.

This is a bold card, just as bold as your lipstick (haha).

The sentiment is from the Dressed to Impress stamp set with the label made using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  The same label for your message is also on the inside of the card.

This card design is made by cutting a 5cm piece from the front, this shows the background paper that coordinates with the bold striped paper.  Great way to create some contrast on your cards.

Best Dressed Designer Series Paper - Day 5

Hi everyone, sharing the project for Day 5 of the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper cards.

The Best Dressed Designer Series Paper pack has so many beautiful designs, this one coordinates with Blackberry Bliss.

I made some more of my favourite Daisy Flowers for this card along with the sentiment panel made using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and the Peaceful Moments stamp set.

A little bit of bling was added using Gold Glimmer Paper and some of the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

Thank you for visiting.

Best Dressed Designer Series Paper - Day 4

Hi everyone, sharing the project for Day 4 of the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper cards.

I made two of these cards from two sheets of the patterned paper.  You will have some left over dotted Old Olive paper for use on other projects.  The dotted Old Olive paper I cut at 4cm x 9.5cm.

The floral patterned paper I cut 2 pieces at 11.8cm x 7.5cm, this left enough to cut small strips to decorate the inside of the card.

The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set with the flowers from the Floral Essence stamp set.  I did 1st and 2nd generation stamping for the flowers using Lovely Lipstick ink to get the two shades of colour.

Hope you are enjoying these projects.

Thank you for visiting.

Best Dressed Designer Series Paper - Day 3

Hi everyone, sharing the project for Day 3 of the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper cards.

These two cards use the one sheet of paper, I cut the length of the paper to 12.8cm which left enough for two strips for the inside cards.

For card 1 the width of the paper is 6.8cm and for card 2 it is 8.5cm.

The daisy flowers were created using one of my favourite stamp sets Daisy Lane with the coordinating Medium Daisy Punch.

The labels on each card were created using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies with the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.

Best Dressed Designer Series Paper - Day 2

Hi everyone, sharing the project for Day 2 of the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper cards.

This card has a bit of fussy cutting with the shoes and perfume bottles.

I will admit that I had a bit of trouble using the bold striped sheet of paper, so decided to use a little bit of it for circles.   It tones really well with the Purple Posy rose print sheet of paper.

The offset Mint Macaron mat behind the Whisper White background was a cutting mistake.  I cut the mat the wrong size, so instead of cutting a new mat, I decided to offset it.  I really like the finished look.

The sentiment is from the Dressed to Impress stamp set which was die cut using the All Dressed Up Dies.

Best Dressed Designer Series Paper - Day 1

Hi everyone, I shared sometime over the weekend crafting with a group of lovely ladies.  We made sure that we did the social distancing bit and it was really great to get together and spend sometime away from home.

I decided to make cards using the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper that is retiring.  I have two packs of this paper so I decided to sit down to see what I could create.   Over the next 7 days I will be posting the cards that I have made using this gorgeous paper.

I really love the Daisy Lane stamp set and the coordinating Medium Daisy Punch as it makes creating gorgeous flowers for your projects so easy.

The sentiment for this card is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.

These two cards were made using a couple of left over pieces of the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper.  I love the fresh look of the yellow daisies with the soft patterned paper.

The sentiment on card 2 is from the Label Me Bold stamp set, another favourite of mine which I am sad to say is also retiring.

Thank you for visiting.

Fun little Easter Baskets

Hi everyone, sharing a fun little Easter Basket.

The Designer Series Paper is from the Best Dressed 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper pack.  The little flowers were made using the Small Bloom Punch and the Leaf Punch with some Rhinestones added for the flower centres.

You can get the Small Bloom Punch as part of the Sale-A-Bration promotion if you spend $180 AUD.

The 'Happy Easter' is from the A Wish for Everything stamp set.

To make these little baskets you will need:

Measurements

5 ¼” x 5 ¼” cardstock for basket
¾” x 5 ¼” cardstock for handle
½” x 5 ¼” Designer Series Paper for handle
4 pieces 1 ½” x 1 ½” Designer Series Paper for basket
Cardstock scraps for the flowers and leaves
Whisper White cardstock for the sentiment circle
Mossy Meadow cardstock for the scallop circle
Tear and Tape

Technique

1.       Score the 5 ¼” x 5 ¼” piece of cardstock at 1 ¾” all four         sides.

2.       Snip on the score lines as per diagram below

3.       Adhere the Designer Series Paper to the four corner squares.

4.      Fold the centre panel up and adhere the two corner squares on the diagonal to the centre panel so that the top corner of the squares meet.  They will overlap each other.  Do this for both sides.  The picture below shows what it should look like.

5.       Adhere the Designer Series Paper piece for the handle to the cardstock piece and then curl this handle slightly using the bone folder.

6.       Adhere the handle in place, the handle should sit on top of the inside panel, this is about 1cm from the top of the basket.  See picture below that shows the position.

Best Dressed ...

Hi everyone, sharing a set of cards that I made using the Best Dressed 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, the Label Me Bold stamp set and the Medium Daisy Punch.  I seem to have a thing going on lately creating daisy flowers.

The background Petal Pink cardstock piece has been embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.  I love the textured look that this embossing creates.

The Lovely Lipstick decorative strip was made using the new Braided Border Punch.

I love this card sketch and it is one that I have used a lot of times as it is great to use up smaller pieces of Designer Series Paper.

The Best Dressed Designer Series Paper is just gorgeous, one side has floral and geometric imagery with the other side coordinating with the products from the Best Dress Suite.  It has lipstick, shoes, perfume bottles and hand bags imagery.
