Pat's Birthday Card

Hi everyone, sharing the card and gift package I made for my friend Pat's 70th Birthday Celebration today.  We had a great time having lunch at the Epicurean, Crown Towers, Perth.

I used one of the cards from the Magnolia Lane Memories and More Card Pack along with a piece of the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper pack for Pat's card.

One of the flowers fussy cut from the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper was adhered in place over some foliage,  Linen Thread bow and a Pear Pizzazz Stitched Shape Circle.

Did you notice the little tag that I have stamped Happy Birthday on?  This is from the Joy of Giving Tag Kit.

The Copper Dotted Treat Bags are perfect packaging for a little gift.

I decorated the bag to match the card I made.

Tuesday Challenge #30

Hi everyone, sorry I am bit late today in posting my Tuesday Challenge Project.  I cannot believe that it is already week 30 of my little challenge that I set myself to make a card or project using products from the Annual Catalogue.

Stamp sets of choice this week are Piece of Cake and Artisan Textures.  I also used the matching Cake Builder Punch and the Stitched Rectangles for the sentiment.

I really like the Artisan Textures stamp set for creating backgrounds.  For this card I stamped the large solid image twice using Blushing Bride ink (stamped off once) and the dotted image twice using Smoky Slate ink (stamped off once).  I then added some little hearts from the Piece of Cake stamp set stamped with Blushing Bride ink.

The cake and cake stand were stamped using Black Memento ink and then coloured with Stampin' Blends Lovely Lipstick (light and dark), Mango Melody (dark), Old Olive (dark), Smoky Slate (light and dark) and Basic Black (light).  These images were then punched out using the Cake Builder punch.

The sentiment was White heat embossed before being cut out using one of the Stitched Rectangle dies.

Some Silver Metallic Thread and Rhinestones were added to finish the card.

Tuesday Challenge #26

Hi everyone, sharing my project this week for my Tuesday Challenge.  I have tried something a little different this week by using one of the Copper Dotted Treat bags on my cards.

The stamp sets I have used are To A Wild Rose, Merry Christmas to All, Beautiful Bouquet and Piece of Cake.

I cut the sides and bottom off the bag and then cut away the seam where the bag joined on the back.  This left me with a large strip that I have used on my first card.  I flagged one end and put a piece of Copper Foil Sheet behind.

My second card uses the large front piece from the bag that I have cut down to fit my card front. You will be left with a long strip that I have used to decorate the inside of the card.

My final card uses the other strip from the back of the bag, I have cut this in half so you get two of these cards from this strip.

The colours used on the flowers are Merry Merlot and Rococo Rose with Mossy Meadow for the leaves.

Hope you enjoy my creations for this week.

Thank you for visiting.

Tuesday Challenge #23

Hi everyone, the card for this week's Tuesday's Challenge uses the Piece of Cake stamp set and the Cake Builder punch.

I seem to be on a masculine themed card making kick the last few weeks, I promise that I will have a card with some flowers on Thursday.

The background I stamped using Seaside Spray ink and the dotted image from the Artisan Textures stamp set.  I felt that the background behind the cake and stand needed a little something to take away from the stark white, so a little stamping and some Silver Metallic Thread solved this.  I stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the Stitched Rectangle using Black Memento ink.

The stand and cake were stamped using Black Memento ink and coloured using Night of Navy light and dark, Smoky Slate light and dark and Basic Black light Stampin' Blends.  These were then punched using the Cake Builder punch and adhered to the Stitched Rectangle piece using dimensionals.  The top of the cake was stamped and coloured the same as the cake and fussy cut.

The decorated Stitched Rectangle was then adhered to a Smoky Slate Stitched Rectangle before being adhered to the Night of Navy cardbase using dimensionals.

A few Rhinestones were added to finish the card.
