Group Swap

Hi everyone, sharing the card I made for our Stamparoos Stampin' Up! Group Swap that was held last night.

We had to make our card or project using something new out of the new catalogue. As my preorder arrived last week, I was a bit spoilt for choice. I changed my mind several times.  This is the card that I decided to use as my swap.

I have used a new In-colour, Grapefruit Grove along with patterned paper from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The stamp set is "Love What You Do".  These products are part of the Share What You Love Suite that is available from 1 May 2018.

I reckon that the person who gets to name all the Stampin' Up! ink colours has the best job in the world.  I love all the names that they come up with.

Thank you for visiting.

True Gentleman

It is nearly time to say good bye to the True Gentleman Suite, these products are available until the 31 May, so do not miss out.

The stamp set and the gorgeous designer series paper make it quick and easy to put together some cards that will cover a lot of occasions for the men in our lives.

OnStage Local Perth 2018 Projects

Hi everyone, the last of my projects for OnStage.

The first three cards are all made using a background piece that I stamped to create my own designer series paper.  I just decorated each card differently.  I used the little fish as embellishments on these cards and trust me you want to invest in a good pair of tweezers and the Fine Tip Glue before you start adhering these little fish.

My final project again uses a piece of background stamped cardstock with just a different layering of the die cuts and images.

OnStage Local Perth 2018 Projects

Hi everyone, more of my projects from OnStage.

This card show the peek-a-boo effect that you can get using the little School of Fish die in the framelits.  The background is the rock salt technique with Balmy Blue stamping.

Similar card using the same rock salt background, these would make a great set of cards.

This card uses background stamping to create your own designer series paper along with some simple stamping and die cutting to create a clean and simple card.

Final projects tomorrow.

Thank you for visiting.

OnStage Local Perth 2018 Projects

Hi everyone, some more of my projects from OnStage.

For this card I sponged the background with Balmy Blue and stamped the Seaweed image using Mossy Meadow.  I did 1st and 2nd generation stamping to give some slight colour contrast.

The front piece was stamped with the fish net image using Crumb Cake before the oval was cut out.  I though that this card is a great example of how all the stamping and images layer together to give great texture and depth.

There is one stamp in the set that it took me a little while to work out what is actually was.  When I realised that it was the side of a fish (or the scales to be exact) I thought how was I going to use it in my projects.  Background stamping was the answer.  I stamped a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock to create this little gift bag.

Are you wondering where the Navy Blue Library Clip came from?  It is one of our Gold Library Clips that I coloured using the dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blend.

This next project again shows how with some basic stamping and die cutting you can create some great cards with texture and depth.

This project shows the background stamping, simple stamping and die cutting.

More projects coming tomorrow.

Thank you for visiting.

OnStage Local Perth 2018 Projects

Hi everyone, as promised these are some of my projects that I made for the OnStage Local Perth 2018 event.  I was lucky enough to be invited by Stampin' Up! to present on stage, it was a bit scary but they say that it does you good to get out of your comfort zone.  A big thank you to Donna and Clare for all their coaching and support, they do an awesome job.

I was given the amazing stamp set Sea of Textures and the coordinating framelits Under the Sea, along with ink and cardstock in two new colours Soft Sea Foam and Balmy Blue and a returning favourite Mossy Meadow to create my projects.  I could incorporate other colours as well so I added Basic Black, Crumb Cake and Night of Navy to my colour scheme.

I had a lot of fun making these 15 projects, ranging from cards that suit a beginner stamper to the more complex projects for advanced stampers.

This first card is the one that I actually stamped on stage, it is very quick and easy to make with a little stamping and die cutting.

This next project is a little pizza box and four 3" x 3" cards.  I had a bit of fun with these and the 'You're one of a Kind' sentiment.

My 3rd project is a Shaker Card.  I die cut all the little fish from the School of Fish die to put inside the shaker.  The background was made using the rock salt technique, Night of Navy and Balmy Blue ink on Shimmery White cardstock.

My 4th card was again made using the rock salt tecchnique.

I will be posting more projects tomorrow.

Thank you for visiting.

Perk Up

I had a bit of fun with this card with the play on words and the coffee pot and cup pictures.

I used the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper and the Labeler Alphabet Stamp set with a Crumb Cake card base.

Onstage 2018 Perth Swap

I had an amazing day yesterday when I attended the Stampin' Up! Onstage Local Event held in Perth.

I was lucky enough to be invited by Stampin' Up! to present on stage.  I had a sleepless night on Friday, worrying about how my presentation would go as my rehearsal did not go very well on Friday.  With all the support of my friends, fellow demonstrators and the Stampin' Up! team I managed to get through my presentation. I will be posting my projects that I presented and made for the display boards from Tuesday.

This is my swap that I made for Onstage.  I made 50 of these cards to swap with other Demonstrators.

Thank you for visiting.
