Just Wanted to Say ....

Hi everyone, sharing some cards I made to send out to a few friends and family during this time of social distancing.  I miss seeing everyone, but thought I could send a little note to keep in touch.

For my cards I used the Ornate Gardens Specialty Designer Series Paper, the Ornate Thanks stamp set, Ornate Layers Dies, Daisy Lane stamp set, Medium Daisy Punch and the Leaf Punch.

I really like the saying 'just wanted to say' as you can then lead into what you want to say inside the card.  I have just stamped some daisies inside my card for decoration, but you could stamp another sentiment such as 'Thanks' from the same stamp set or 'Happy Birthday' from another stamp set.  You could make these cards and have them on hand for any occasion.

The base card is Early Espresso with a Whisper White mat behind the Designer Series Paper.  This colour combination is Early Espresso and Terracotta Tile.

The next two cards have the new colour Bumblebee in the Designer Series Paper and as this ink colour is not yet available (coming soon) I used So Saffron to stamp the daisy flowers.

I got 6 cards from each 12" x 12" piece of Designer Series Paper, so I have quite a little stash of cards to send out.  I just need to sit down and write my message to everyone.

Did you notice the centre of the daisies, these are the new Gilded Gems.  Just perfect for adding a little bit of bling.

Just Add Ink Challenge #500 - Just Add a Die Cut Word

Hi everyone, I am playing along this week with the challenge at Just Add Ink - 'Just Add a Die Cut Word'.

I have used the 'A Wish for Everything' stamp set and the 'Word Wishes Dies' to cut the word Happy.  I layered 3 die cuts together to give more dimension to the die cut.

The Tulip flowers were made by stamping the large Tulip image from the 'Timeless Tulips' stamp set with Terracotta Tile ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched out with the Tulip Builder Punch.

The other flowers were made by stamping the flower image from the 'Floral Essence' twice of one flower using Petal Pink ink  on Whisper White cardstock and punched out with the Perennial Flower Punch.  The two pieces were layered together to form one flower and a Gold Faceted Gem was added for the flower centre.

The leaves were stamped on Old Olive cardstock using Old Olive ink.  The leaf images were from the same stamp sets and punched out using the Tulip Builder Punch and the Leaf Punch.  A few Gold Glimmer Paper Sprigs were added for a little bit of bling along with some Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

The background was embossed using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.

Easter Basket for Mum ...

Hi everyone, what are you all doing to keep busy at home?

I decorated an Easter Basket and made a card for my Mum who is in a Nursing Home.

I used the Daisy Lane stamp set along with the Daisy, Medium Daisy and Leaf Punches.  The flowers were stamped with Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape and Daffodil Delight ink on Whisper White cardstock before being punched out.  To flowers were layered together to form the flower and a Clear Faceted Gem was added for the flower centres.  The leaves are made using the Leaf Punch and Granny Apple Green cardstock.

For the card I used the new Orante Floral 3D Embossing Folder and Ornate Layers Dies along with one of the flowers made the same as for the basket.  The 'Easter Greetings' is from the Fable Friends stamp set, this was stamped using Black Memento ink and die cut using the Ornate Frames Dies.

I cannot visit my Mum at the moment, but we can drop things off for our loved ones.  The Nursing Home set up a drop off box for us so we do not have to go into the facility. I put enough chocolates and Easter Eggs in Mum's basket so she can share with the Carers that are doing such a great job of looking after her. I know that Mum likes to share her chocolates so I made sure she had enough to go around.

I did a quick 25 minute round trip to drop it off this morning, I did not see another person apart of those driving around. It is a very strange feeling not interacting with people, but this is the new normal for a while yet.

Perfect Posy

Hi everyone, sharing one of the projects the ladies made in class today.

This project uses the 2019-2020 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Pack.  I have cut the piece of Purple Posy Designer Series Paper into 3" x 2" pieces, that means you get 6 cards from the one 6" x 6" piece of patterned paper.

The piece of Designer Series Paper has been matted onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock 3 1/8" x 2 1/8".  A Basic Black Stitched Shape Circle was cut using the 2nd largest circle.

The daisies were stamped using Gorgeous Grape ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched out using the Medium Daisy Punch.  Two of the daisies are layered together to form one flower.  A Clear Faceted Gem was added to the centre of the flower.  Make two flowers for the card.

The Old Olive leaves were created using the leaf die from the In The Woods dies.  The Vellum leaves were created using the Leaf Punch.

The sentiment from the Label Me Bold stamp set was stamped with Black Memento on Whisper White cardstock and hand cut out.

Onstage 2018 Perth Swap

I had an amazing day yesterday when I attended the Stampin' Up! Onstage Local Event held in Perth.

I was lucky enough to be invited by Stampin' Up! to present on stage.  I had a sleepless night on Friday, worrying about how my presentation would go as my rehearsal did not go very well on Friday.  With all the support of my friends, fellow demonstrators and the Stampin' Up! team I managed to get through my presentation. I will be posting my projects that I presented and made for the display boards from Tuesday.

This is my swap that I made for Onstage.  I made 50 of these cards to swap with other Demonstrators.
