Christmas Cards

Cards I made for display at the Perth Heartfelt Stampin' Event held yesterday.

Sneak peak at two new stamp sets in the Holiday Catalogue, "Watercolor Winter" and "Christmas Wishes".  The DSP used is from the 2012/13 Annual Cataolgue, "Be of Good Cheer".  The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler  and Very Vanilla Seam Binding and the new 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon Gumball Green from the new 2012/13 Annual Catalogue.  Cardstock of co-ordinating colours of Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and a new In-Colour of Gumball Green.  I added some Soft Suede to go with the vintage look on some of my cards.

I found the tutorial on how to do the ribbon weave wreath here.

I tried a new technique I found on YouTube on ribbon weaving.  I love the finished effect.

Pop-up Card

This card showed the 2-step stamps in the "Watercolor Winter" set.

My Vintage Santa.  Faux Patina technique was used on the Soft Suede cardstock mat.
The "HO HO HO" was cut from the Balloon stamp on the "Christmas Wishes" stamp set.

Faux Patina technique used to create the frame which was punched out with the new
Apothecary Accents Framelits.  The centre was then punched out using
the Extra Large Oval punch.  It was popped up using dimensionals to give the effect of a frame.

Advent Calendar

As promised here is the tutorial for the Advent Calendar I made for the Perth Heartfelt Stampin' Event held on 25 August, 2012.  I noticed after taking the photo that some of the little boxes are a bit wonky as they are attached with velcro and need straightening up after travelling around Perth yesterday on the backseat of my car. Oh well, it just adds to the charm.

The numbers do not show up very well, by they have been made from the new Champagne Glimmer Paper and give a sparkle to the Advent Calendar.

The little boxes hold a small Chocolate Money or Dollar piece.  If you are feeling generous a dollar coin also fits perfectly in these little boxes (this is Australian Money or course).

Perth Heartfelt Stampin' Event

The Perth Heatfelt Stampin' Event was held today and what a great time everyone had.  I was constantly amazed at the creativity and the willingness to share ideas and techniques.

I was invited to demonstrate on the Stampin' Table explaining the new products in the 2012/13 catalogue and to answer any questions that people had on techniques or products.  A lot of fun was had and I hope everyone went away from the day having enjoyed themselves, I know I did.

As part of my participation I was asked to make several samples for display show casing some of the products in the new catalogue.

One of the samples that I made was a Chocolate Box that holds 3 Ferrero Rocher chocolates.  During the day I was asked numerous times on how I made the box so here is a free tutorial on how I made it.

This is a sneak peak at one of the new stamp sets in the new Holiday Catalogue, "Watercolor Winter".

Box closed with the band in place.

Inside of box showing the detail on the inside of the lid and the yummy chocolates.

I also made an Advent Calendar which I will post at a later date once I have written the tutorial.

I hope you enjoy making this little chocolate box.
