Stash Busting Saturday - Ghost Stamping

Hi everyone, for this week's Stash Buster project I am using a technique called Ghost Stamping.  I am working my through my pack of 2024-2026 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortment.  It is amazing how many cards you can get from one paper pack, lol.  I still have over 3/4 of a pack to go.

I made 6 cards using one sheet of Shy Shamrock patterned DSP from the pack.

The stamp sets and dies I used are Unbounded Love and Textured Floral.

I cut the DSP into 2" x 3" pieces and matted these onto Shy Shamrock 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" cardstock and then matted these onto Basic White 2 1/5" x 3 1/5" cardstock.

The card base was stamped with the two floral images from the Textured Floral stamp set first using White Craft ink and after this had dried with Shy Shamrock ink, slightly offset to create the ghosting effect.

The sentiment is from the Unbounded Love stamp set and was stamped using Black Memento ink before die cutting using one of the dies from the Unbounded Love dies.

Some White ribbon and pearls were added to finish the cards.

I hope you enjoyed this week's Stash Buster.

Stash Busting Saturday - 4 Cards from 1 6" x 6" Sheet Designer Series Paper

Hi everyone, for this week's Stash Buster I have used a piece of Petunia Pop Designer Series Paper from the 2024-2026 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortment.

I made 4 cards, 3 of one design and 1 of another design.

I cut the piece of Designer Series Paper at 10.5cm x 15.2cm.  This piece was then cut into 2 pieces measuring 10.5cm x 5.1cm and 1 piece measuring 10.5cm x 5cm.  This left a piece of Designer Series Paper that measured 4.7cm x 15.2cm.  I cut this piece into a 4.7cm x 14.85cm strip.  The small scrap I put in the compost bin.

This is the cutting diagram.

I used the Stippled Roses stamp set and dies to create my cards.  I coloured the image using Petunia Pop Light and Dark and Old Olive Light and Dark Stampin' Blends.

The designs are quite simple as the large flower image is the main focal point on the cards.  I just added some Glossy Dots and Silver and White Sheer Ribbon to finish the cards.

I hope you enjoyed this week's Stash Busting projects.

Stash Busting Saturday - Bright & Beautiful 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper

Hi everyone, I am still working through my packs of Bright & Beautiful 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, so for this week's Stash Buster I have used the Freshly Made Sketches #666 and 4 sheets of the Designer Series Paper.  I made 8 mini slimline cards that measure 6" x 3", so you get 4 card bases from a piece of 12" x 12" cardstock.

I cut four 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" squares which left a 6" x 1" strip and a 5" x 1" strip from each piece of Designer Series Paper.

From the squares I die cut the circles.  These were adhered to the Basic White mat cut at 5 1/2" x 2 1/2".

Happy Birthday was die cut using the Wanted to Say Dies.  I embellished the card front with some Silver trim and Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems.

To use the strips of Designer Series Paper I cut these down to 2" x 1" strips and adhered them to a Basic White mat cut at 5 1/2" x 2 1/2".

To embellish I added some Silver Trim from my stash and some Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems along with the die cut Happy Birthday.

I did have 4 small 1" x 1" squares left which I was quite happy to put in the compost bin.

I hope you enjoyed this week's Stash Buster.

Reindeer Fun - 11 Cards from 4 Sheets of 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper

Hi everyone, sharing the cards from a little project I have been working on in the last week.  I took 4 sheets of the 'Take a Bow' Designer Series Paper, one of each pattern and worked out cutting layouts to make 11 cards with no scraps.  The cutting guides are at the bottom of this post.

I have used the Reindeer Fun stamp set and dies to embellish my cards.

Card 1

Follow the cutting guide to get the pieces of Designer Series Paper for this card. The pieces will be 3.8cm x 7.6cm (1 1/2" x 3") and 7.6cm x 7.6cm (3" x 3").  The Real Red cardstock strip measures 1.2cm x 9cm (1/2" x 3 1/2").  The Basic White cardstock mat is 12.3cm x 8cm (4 7/8" x 3 1/8").

This sketch is a variation of Call Me Crafty Al's April 2023 Sheetload of Cards template.  I added the cardstock strip to cover the gap and adjusted the sizes of the Designer Series Paper slightly as I was cutting for metric size and Australian sized cards.

Card 2

Follow the cutting guide to get the pieces of Designer Series Paper for this card. The 3 pieces will be 3.8cm x 7.5cm (1 1/2" x 3").  The mat measures 12.3cm x 8cm (4 7/8" x 3 1/8").

This card sketch is Mojo Monday #444.

This card sketch is from Jesscrafts 6" x 6" Paper Buster Template # 4.  I just reversed the layout so that I had small pieces on the outside and a larger piece on the inside.

Card 5

Follow the cutting guide to get the pieces of Designer Series Paper for this card. The pieces will be 3.8cm x 3.8cm (1 1/2" x 1 1/2"), 6 pieces 3 of 2 designs.

This is a variation of a sketch in the September-December 2024 Mini Catalogue.  I just made landscape in orientation and put the flagged piece of Designer Series Paper on top instead of behind the centre panel.

Card 11

Follow the cutting guide to get the pieces of Designer Series Paper for this card. The pieces will be 5.1cm x 10.3cm (2" x 1 1/4"), 4.4cm x 7.6cm (1 3/4" x 3") and 2.5cm x 7.6cm (1" x 3").

I am calling this my scrap card and I just designed it using the left over pieces in the cutting layouts.

Stash Busting Saturday - Last Chance List

Hi everyone, for this week's Stash Buster projects I delved into the Last Chance List on the Stampin' Up! Online Store.

I have used the 2023-2025 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Pack, Copper Clay Textured Ribbon and the Deckled Rectangles Dies.  I teamed these with the Saying Hey stamp set to create 8 cards from 2 sheets of the Copper Clay Designer Series Paper.

I cut the first piece of Designer Series Paper into 7.6cm x 7.6cm (3" x 3") Squares.  I then cut 1" off one end, so you will have two pieces of Designer Series Paper.

Adhere these to the outer edges of a piece of Crushed Curry that measures 10.1cm x 10.5cm (4" x 4 1/8"), the top and bottom edges have been torn. You will have a gap between the two pieces but this is covered by the strip of Basic Black cardstock that measures 15cm x 3.8cm (4 1/2" x 1 1/2").

Create the sentiment panel and adhere to the card front along with the Copper Clay Textured Ribbon and the small banners.  Add some Neutral Adhesive Backed Sequins to finish.

For the second set of cards, cut the 6" x 6" piece of Designer Series Paper into 2" x 6" strips.  Cut 2 of these strips into 2" x 1" pieces, and the other strip into 2 3/4" x 2" pieces.  You will have a 1/4" x 2" strip left over which can be discarded.

Adhere the 2" x 1" pieces top and bottom to Basic Black mats cut at 2 1/4"x 3".  You will have a gap between the pieces but this is covered by a piece of Copper Clay cardstock cut at 7/8" x 5 1/2".  Create the sentiment panel (the Copper Clay ink was stamped off for the word Hey) and adhere to the card front along with the Copper Clay Textured Ribbon.  Add some Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems to finish.

I hope you enjoyed these 'Stash Buster' projects.

December Card Class Projects

Hi everyone, sharing the projects from my December Card Class.  The ladies made 2 cards and a small gift card holder.

The first card uses the 'Take A Bow' 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper pack.

The Designer Series Paper is cut at:
    4cm x 12.3cm
    4cm x 4.5cm
    4cm x 7.5cm

The pieces were then adhered to a Thick Basic White card base.  The embellishment and sentiment are from the Reindeer Fun stamp set and dies.  This is one of my favourite bundles in the September - December 2024 Mini Catalogue.  This bundle is now on the Last Chance list so do not miss out if you want to purchase this stamp set and dies.

The second card uses the 'Nests of Winter" 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper along with the Wintery Tree Tops stamp set and dies.  The sentiment is from the Greetings of the Season stamp set.

The final project is a cute little gift card holder (or lotto ticket) made using the Mini Pocket Envelopes Dies, 'Take a Bow' 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper and the Reindeer Fun stamp set and dies.

Once the little pocket was created and embellished it was adhered to a Thick Basic White card base 11cm x 7cm (cut your cardstock at 22cm x 7cm and score at 11cm on the long side).

I had some small Crumb Cake envelopes in my stash from several years ago and the gift card holder fitted inside perfectly.

I hope you enjoyed seeing these projects.

Most of these products are on the Last Chance list so once they have sold out they are discontinued and will no longer be available.  So do not miss out.

Stash Busting Saturday - Reindeer Days 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper

Hi everyone, for this week's 'Stash Buster" I am sharing a great cutting layout to create 12 cards from one sheet of 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.

Cut the Designer Series Paper into 10.1cm x 7.6cm pieces, with the 10.1cm being the length of the piece.  Next cut 3.2cm from the bottom of this piece.  Adhere these two pieces to a cardstock mat cut at12.3cm x 8cm, with the larger piece at the top and the small piece at the bottom.  You will have a small gap but this is covered by the sentiment banner.

You can just adhere this panel to the card base or another alternative like I have done is add a layer behind.  The Basic White cardstock mat is cut at 10.5cm x 5.5cm.  2 pieces of the Designer Series Paper were cut at 5cm x 2.5cm.  Adhere a piece either end of the mat, there is a lot of white space left but this is covered by the centre panel.  (Tip: this is a great way to use the small pieces sometimes left over from other projects).

I hope you enjoyed this week's 'Stash Buster' project.
