Toile Tidings Merry Christmas

Hi everyone, sharing another quick and easy Christmas Card using the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper and the Perfectly Plaid stamp set.

The card base is Crumb Cake with the Basic Black mat cut at 11.8cm x 7.5cm and the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper cut at 11.3cm x 7cm.

The Merry Christmas is from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set, this was stamped using Black Memento ink on Very Vanilla cardstock.  This was die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

The foliage behind the sentiment panel is from the Poinsettia Dies and was cut using Vellum and Gold Foil Sheet.  A piece of Real Red Sheer 1cm Ribbon was added behind the sentiment panel with some Wonderful Gems added to finish the card.

For the inside of the card a small strip of the Toil Tidings Designer Series Paper was adhered to the bottom of a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock which was then adhered to the card inside.

Hope you enjoyed this project.

Season's Greetings ...

Hi everyone, sharing one more of the projects from last weekend's 'All Things Christmas' event.

This card uses the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper and the Peaceful Boughs Bundle.

The card base is one of the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories and More cards and envelopes.

This card has a bit of a vintage feel to it that I really love.

Deck the Halls ....

Hi everyone, sharing my card I made for my friend Pat's Camp this weekend at Shoalwater.

The Designer Series Paper is from the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper pack.  I have teamed this with some Old Olive cardstock as a mat and also in the colouring in the Holly leaves. I like the touch of Old Olive as it breaks up all the Real Red and Very Vanilla.

The Holly and Sentiment are from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set.  The Holly has been coloured with Old Olive (dark and light) and Real Red (dark and light) and then fussy cut.

Some Rhinestones were added under the sentiment to add a little bit of bling.

The measurements to make this card are:

13.8cm x 9.5cm Old Olive Cardstock
13.3cm x 9cm Designer Series Paper (DSP)
7cm x 10.8cm Read Red Cardstock
6cm x 9.8cm Very Vanilla Cardstock
5.5cm x 9.3cm Read Red Cardstock
5cm x 8.8cm DSP
Very Vanilla for Sentiment Oval
Very Vanilla for Holly
14.3cm x 10cm Very Vanilla cardstock (for card inside)

Toile Tidings

Hi everyone, time to get back on track.  I have been busy the past few weeks organising a family reunion.  We had about 400 people at the reunion, all descendants from George Oglesby King, Convict, who arrive in Western Australia per the 'Ramillies' on 7 August 1854.  It was a bit weird being in a room of about 400 people who you were related to but only knew about 50 of them.  We had a good time meeting new family members and reconnecting with others.

I am sharing my card I made for our recent team swap.  I have used the Toile Tidings Designer Series paper along with the Winter Woods stamp set and the matching In the Woods dies.

I added a bit of Crumb Card stock as a mat behind the Christmas Tree panel and the sentiment to break up all the Garden Green and Very Vanilla.

I added a few Rhinestones to the tree for a little bit of Christmas bling.

Deck the Halls Gift Box

Hi everyone, sharing one of the projects the ladies are making in class today.  It is my first Christmas Project for the season, I cannot believe that I am making Christmas Projects already.

This is a great quick and easy project to make, it took me a while as I had a few false starts with measurements, but once that was all sorted out it came together really quickly.

I have used the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper, Real Red and Very Vanilla cardstock, Gold Foil Sheet and the Leaf Ribbon on this project.

To make this project you will need:
  • Cardstock 16.5cm x 15cm
  • Cut 2 Stitched Nested Labels using 3rd largest die
  • Cut 2 Designer Series Paper Stitched Nested Labels using the 4th largest die
  • Cut 2 pieces Designer Series Paper 4.5cm x 4.5cm
  • Cut a piece of cardstock 21cm x 1.5cm (handle)
  • Very Vanilla for Stitched Shaped Circle using 2nd smallest die
  • Gold Foil Sheet for the Starburst Circle

Technique

Score the 16.5cm x 15cm piece of cardstock at 5cm on all four sides.

Snip on the lines as indicated in the picture.  You may want to snip off a small section of the flap that you are folding in so it is not as bulky.  Adhere the sides together to form the box base.

Adhere the Designer Series Paper Stitched Nested Labels to the cardstock Stitched Nested Labels and adhere these to the box sides.

Add the handle and staple in place, take note that the staple closing fold is on the outside of the box as this is covered by the Designer Series Paper.  Adhere the 4.5cm x 4.5cm pieces of Designer Series Paper to the sides of the box.

Stamp the image using Real Red ink on the piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut out using the Stitched Shaped Circle.  Punch out a Starburst Circle from the Gold Foil Sheet using the large Starburst Circle Punch.  Adhere these together and then make a small hole in the top to thread a piece of Linen Thread through so that you can tie it to the Gussetted Cellophane 7.6cm x 15.2cm bag, with your treats of choice inside (I have Minities in my bag), which has been tied with a piece of Leaf Ribbon.

Do you want a larger basket, no problems!

For a larger size basket cut a piece of cardstock 20cm x 18cm and score on all four sides at 6cm.  Use the largest and 2nd largest Stitched Nested Label dies and cut the handle at 21cm x 2cm.  The Designer Series Paper for the box sides is cut at 5.5cm x 5.5cm. Just follow the same directions for the smaller basket to put it together.  This size basket would be great for homemade shortbread or other Christmas goodies that you make.

You could personalize these little baskets with people's names and have them as place settings for your festive celebrations.
