Pattern Party Designer Series Paper Scraps - Dwellingup Project 4

Hi everyone, sharing another of my cards from my Dwellingup crafting getaway.

This is another of the projects I made using my scraps from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper pack.

I used the Hello Beautiful stamp set and the Beautiful Shapes Dies for this card.  Did you notice the Adhesive Backed Hexagons embellishments on the card?  These come in a pack of 90 pieces with 3 colours and 3 sizes.

Hope you enjoyed this scrappy card.

Simply Marbleous

Hi everyone, sharing two cards made with my left over bits from yesterday's Just Add Ink Challenge post.

I used the Simply Marbleous 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Pack, selecting the Misty Moonlight/Balmy Blue piece of patterned paper and Misty Moonlight cardstock.  Die cuting these shapes is a great way to use up the scraps used from other projects.

These cards are also great for the men folk in our lives.  I never seem to have enough of these type of cards in my stash.

Hope you enjoyed by scrappy leftover cards.

Just Add Ink Challenge #589 - "Just Add Minimalist"

Hi everyone, I am playing along with the Just Add Ink Challenge this week "Just Add Minimalist".  I thought that meant a card with very little stamping or embellishment, however when I read the definition of 'Minimalist' I realised that I could use repitition of a shape or element.  This is my take on the challenge.

I use the Beautiful Shapes Dies for the Hexagons which I cut from the Simply Marbleous 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper pack and Misty Moonlight cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Art Gallery stamp set, I white heat embossed this before die cutting using the Floral Gallery dies.  I finished the card with some of the Classic Mat Dots.  You could put some twine or trim behind the sentiment strips, but I was keeping it 'Minimalist' so left this off.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Yay, I won this week's Just Add Ink Challenge.

Thank you for visiting.

Using 6" x 4" (10.2cm x 15.2cm) Abstract Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack

Hi everyone, sharing another cutting layout using the 6' x 4" (15.2cm x 10.2cm) Abstract Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack.  I have also used the coordinating Hello Beautiful Stamp Set and the Beautiful Shapes Dies on these cards.

You will get two cards using this cutting layout.  I have only given the instructions below for one of the cards, just repeat to get your two cards.

Cut the 6"x 4" (15.2cm x 10.2cm) piece of patterned paper into 1" x 4" (2.5cm x 10.2cm) strips.  You will get 6 strips.

Cut a cardstock mat 4 1/8" x 3" (10.6cm x 7.5cm) and adhere two of the strips in place, one at the top and one at the bottom and then adhere this to the card front.  See picture below.

Cut a cardstock mat at 1 1/8" x 4 3/4" (3cm x 12.2cm).  Cut one of the 1" x 4" (2.5cm x 10.2 cm) strips at 1 1/2" (3.8cm) you will now have a piece 1" x 1 1/2" (2.5cm x 3.8cm) and another piece 1" x 2 1/2" (2.5cm x 6.4cm).  Adhere these two pieces either end of the 1 1/8" x 4 3/4" (3cm x 12.2cm) cardstock mat and adhere to the card front.  See picture below.

You can now decorate with a sentiment panel, ribbons and other embellishments to cover the gap on the middle strip.  You would never know that this card was made with paper strips.  This would also be a great way to use up those left over pieces that always seem to appear after a crafting session.

Hope you enjoyed this project.
