Sailing Home - JDRF Card 4

Hi everyone, sharing card number four from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation fundraiser held last Saturday.

This card uses the Sailing Home stamp set and the matching Smooth Sailing dies.

What to do when you wanted a matching piece of Designer Series Paper, make your own of course.  I stamped a piece of 12" x 12" piece of Whisper White cardstock with some of the images from the Sailing Home stamp set.  I used Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake and Misty Moonlight inks to stamp the compass, rope and anchor images.

The Misty Moonlight Designer Series Paper is from the 2020-2022 In-colors paper pack.

The Designer Series Paper was cut at

  • Stamped piece - 12.8cm x 5.1cm
  • Misty Moonlight - 10.2cm x 5.1cm
The Misty Moonlight mats were all cut at 0.4cm larger.

A piece of Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 9.5cm x 6.5cm and embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder was adhered to the Thick Basic White card base.  Adhere the pieces of Designer Series Paper to the mats and then adhere these to the card front.  Take note to use scraps of cardstock to even out the layers between the pieces.

A large circle from the Layering Circle Dies was cut from Basic White cardstock.  The birds were stamped on the circle using Misty Moonlight ink, make sure that you position these to the top right corner of the circle to allow room for the other elements.  Adhere the White Baker's Twine to the circle.

Stamp the lighthouse using Crumb Cake ink and colour using a Blender Pen before die cutting.  Stamp the anchor using Misty Moonlight ink and die cut. Die cut a ship's wheel from Misty Moonlight cardstock, the rope and sentiment from Crumb Cake cardstock.

Arrange and adhere all the elements to the card front.

For the inside of the card, stamp the anchor on the bottom right corner on a piece of Basic White cardstock cut at 9.5cm x 13.8cm using Misty Moonlight ink.  Adhere this to a Misty Moonlight mat cut at 10cm x 14.3cm and adhere to the card inside.

York Stamp Camp - Card 1

Hi everyone, I am at a Stamp Camp this weekend at York that has been organised by one of my best friends, Pat Carr.  This is one of two projects that I have made for the weekend using the Sailing Home stamp set and the matching Smooth Sailing Dies.

I also used the Sweet as a Peach stamp set for the sentiment with the Peach Dies.

The tag is die cut using the Tailor Made Tags Dies.  This set of dies has 8 tag dies, two different designs with 4 sizes of each design.  The border behind the tag was die cut using the Basic Borders Dies.  The two sets of dies are so versatile, giving you the options to add that little something extra to your projects.

The Designer Series Paper is from the You're A Peach Designer Series Paper Pack and the 2020-2022 In Color 6" x 6" Paper Pack.

Fundraiser - Junior Diabetes Research Foundation

Hi everyone, sharing the projects that the ladies made at the fundraiser I held yesterday for the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation.

I had 40 ladies attend the fundraiser and they had a great time making the cards and catching up with everyone. We raised $4,040 AUD which I think is an amazing effort by everyone.

A big thank you for all those who supported the day, it is very much appreciated.

I have been designing and cutting up kits for the last 8 weeks (in between working full time), so have not been making a lot of projects to post on my blog so hopefully you enjoy these.

Card 1

This card uses the gorgeous Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper, Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and the Magnolia Memory Dies.

The Magnolia was coloured using Petal Pink (Light & Dark) and Mossy Meadow (Light & Dark) Stampin' Blends.

Card 2

This card uses the Broadway Birthday stamp set. The Designer Series Paper I have used on this card is now retired as I actually designed this card in April ready for my fundraiser.  You could use other Designer Series Paper to get a similar look.

Card 3

This card uses product from the Come Sail Away Suite.  I love all the products in this Suite and I know I will be making a lot of projects using this Suite.

Card 4

This card uses the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Cards and Envelopes and the Free as a Bird stamp set.

The image was coloured using and Aquapainter and Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Blushing Bride, Rococo Rose, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow ink.

Card 5

This card uses the Over the Moon stamp set.  I cannot remember who first stamp the 'Cow Paper' that I have CASED and there are so many demonstrators doing it now that it is hard to find the original idea.  So whomever you are, thank you so much for such a great idea.

I did two variations on how to put this card together.

Card 6

This card uses the oh so pretty Noble Peacock Suite.  How amazing is the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Card 7

This card uses the To a Wild Ride stamp set.  The rose is a 3 step stamped image and the Stamparatus is the perfect tool to use when stamping the rose.

Card 8

This card uses the Above the Clouds and Waterfront stamp sets and the coordinating Hot Air Balloon Punch.  This card is my favourite,

Come Sail Away

Hi everyone, sharing one of the projects the ladies made in class today using products from the Come Sail Away Suite.

I was just blown away when I first saw this Suite in the catalogue, it has trinkets, bakers twine, embossing folder, gorgeous Designer Series Paper, fantastic stamp set with matching dies and lets not forget the amazing Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack.

I did use a Happy Birthday sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set as the ladies wanted to make birthday cards for the men in their lives.  This sentiment fitted perfectly on the little flag banner as if it was just made for it.
