HB2U

Hi everyone, sharing one of the projects I made for my friend Pat Carr's Camp last weekend at York.  We had a great time at the Lavendale Country Retreat just south of York.

This card uses the Alphabest stamp set and the matching Best Label Punch and the Artistically Inked stamp set.  The stars are from the Beautiful Ballon Dies.

To make this card you will need:

Thick Basic White card base
Azure Afternoon cardstock mat 10cm x 14.3cm (for card inside)
Basic White cardstock 9.5cm x 13.8cm (for card inside)
Azure Afternoon cardsock 10cm x 1cm
Lemon Lime Twist cardstock 7.5cm x 4cm (to create frame)
DSP 7.6cm x 1.2cm
Scraps of Misty Moonlight and Berry Burst cardstock for stars
Scraps of Basic White cardstock for stamping HB2U

Technique

1.    Fold card base in half.

2.    Stamp the background image from the Artistically Inked stamp set 3 times using Lemon Lolly ink,.  Stamp the stars image using Misty Moonlight ink.

3.    Die cut the frame from the Lemon Lime Twist cardstock using the Deckled Rectangle Dies (use the 2nd and 3rd smallest dies) and the stars from the Misty Moonlight and Berry Burst cardstock.

4.    Adhere the frame, strip of Azure Afternoon cardstock and the strip of DSP in place on the card front.  Adhere the piece of silver trim in place and adhere the large Misty Moonlight start on top of this using dimensionals.  Adhere the Berry Burst stars in place.

5.    Stamp the backgrounds for the alphabet -

  • h - Misty Moonlight stamped off once
  • b - Lemon Lime Twist
  • 2 - Berry Burst stamped off once
  • u - Lost Lagoon stamped off once
Stamp the hb2u using Black Memento ink on the backgrounds you just stamped and then punch out and adhere to the card front using dimensionals.  Add some Rhinestones to finish the card front.

6.     For the card inside stamp the background image using Lemon Lolly ink on the bottom of the piece of 9.5cm x 13.8cm Basic White cardstock.  Adhere to the Azure Afternoon mat and adhere to the card inside.

Hope you enjoyed this project.
