11 Christmas Cards from One Sheet of Designer Series Paper

Hi everyone, today's project is how to make 11 Christmas Cards from one sheet of 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.  The cards are all the same, great for those times when you need to mass produce some cards.

You will get 11 cards if the piece of Designer Series Paper is non-directional, if your paper has a direction then you will only get 10 cards.

I used a sheet of patterned paper from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper which was non-directional so I made 11 cards with the layout.

Cut the Designer Series Paper into three 3" x 12" strips and three 1" x 12" strips.  Tip on the cutting, I cut the 1" strips first as it was easier to handle in the trimmer.

Take the three 1" x 12" strips and cut these into 2" pieces, so you will have eighteen 1" x 2" pieces.

Take the three 3" x 12" strips and cut these into 3" pieces, so you will have twelve 3" x 3" pieces.

Take one of the 3" x 3" pieces and cut a 1" strip off, then cut the remaining 2" x 3" piece into three 1" x 2" pieces.  Take the 1" strip that you cut off and cut into a 1" x 2" piece, you will have a small scrap left which can be discarded (take note that on the cutting diagram below I did not show the cut down 1" strip, I left this as a 1" x 3" strip which was a mistake).
The cardstock mats are cut at 3 1/8" x 3 1/8" and 5 1/8" x 2 1/8".

Adhere the 3" x 3" Designer Series paper to the 3 1/8" 3 1/8" mat and the two small pieces of Designer Series Paper to each end of the 5 1/8" x 2 1/8" mat.

Adhere the 5 1/8" x 2 1/8" mat with Designer Series Paper to the card front and then the 3 1/8" x 3 1/8" mat with the Designer Series Paper on top of this making sure to overlap the edges of the Designer Series Paper on the underneath layer.

You can decorate how you like, I cased myself using the Merriest Moments stamp set and matching Merriest Frames Dies to decorate my cards.  I made a similar card earlier in the week for the Just Add Ink #580 Challenge.  After I made this card for the Challenge I realised that this layout would be great to use a single sheet of Designer Series Paper and worked out the cutting layout.

Hope you enjoyed this project.
