Painted Christmas

Hi everyone, sharing some of the Christmas Cards I made for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) fundraising efforts.

I used one sheet of the 12" x 12" Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper and one sheet of the 12" x 12" In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.

I cut each 12" x 12" sheet into two 10.5cm x 30.5cm strips.  This left a 9.5cm x 30.5cm strip of each piece of paper which is used to make the second design of the cards.

Cut the Woodgrain Designer Series Paper strips into 7.6cm x 10.5cm pieces, you will have 8 pieces after cutting.  Cut the Pinecone patterned Designer Series Paper into four 2.6cm x 10.5cm pieces and four 5.1cm x 10.5cm pieces, you will have 8 of each size after cutting.

Cut 8 pieces of Crumb Cake cardstock 8.1cm x 10.5cm, these are the mats for the Woodgrain Designer Series Paper.

You will need 8 card bases, I used Basic White. Adhere the Woodgrain Designer Series Paper to the Crumb Cake mats. Adhere the 2.6cm x 10.5cm strip to the top of the card and the 5.1cm x 10.5cm piece to the bottom.  Adhere the Woodgrain Designer Series Paper matted piece on the top.

I did try an alternative way to cut the patterned paper, however I liked the Pinecone Designer Series Paper as the background.

For the  9.5cm x 30.5cm strips cut the Pinecone Designer Series Paper piece into four 4.2cm x 12.7cm pieces and the Woodgrain Designer Series Paper piece into four 7.6cm x 9.5cm pieces.  Cut mats 0.4cm larger for each piece and then adhere the patterned paper to the mats.  You will need 4 card bases for these cards.

To decorate these cards I used the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set, Seasonal Label Dies, Gold 3/8" Fine Art Ribbon and Gilded Gems.

This was a great way to make a lot of cards at once.

Hope you enjoyed this project.
