Petal Palette Swap Card

Hi everyone, just sharing the card I made for our team swap last night.

I coloured the image from the Petal Palette stamp set with the Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends.

The card base is Smoky Slate with a Basic Black mat.  The leaf image from the stamp set was stamped with Smoky Slate onto the piece of Whisper White before the centre arrangement was adhered in place.

Blossoming Basket

Another project using the Blossoming Basket stamp set.  I have used a one of the scrap bundles that I have put together.  This is a terrific tip from Jennifer McGuire when you have bits of scraps and odds and ends on your craft table you can bundle them together so that when you are creating you can use them instead of throwing them away.

I had put together the scraps of Designer Series Paper, ribbon that I had cut for a project and not used and the water coloured circle. I coloured my basket of flowers to match and used a sketch that I have in my sketch book for the layout.

The stamp set 'Blossoming Basket' and the 'Basket Weave' Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder are two of the new Sale-a-bration items that you can get for free with a qualifying order of $180 AUD.

Happy Easter Chocolate Box

I have designed a small box that holds a 100g Lindt Chocolate bar just in time for Easter.

The stamp set 'Blossoming Basket' and the 'Basket Weave' Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder are two of the new Sale-a-bration items that you can get for free with a qualifying order of $180 AUD.

The box was made from Calypso Coral cardstock and decorated with Calypso Coral patterned paper from the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper Pack.  The image was coloured with Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends.  A piece of 1/4" Calypso Coral Ombre Ribbon was added behind the basket.

Emboss Resist with Brusho Crystal Colours

I cannot seem to stop playing with the Brusho Crystal Colours.  I love the vibrant colours and the finished effect of the emboss resist created using White Embossing Powder.

The background piece pops with the Basic Black mat on the Pumpin Pie card base.  The die cut Happy Birthday give a quick finish to the card with a few sequins added to finish.

Amazing You

I have been having a bit of a clean up and trying to use some of the die cuts and other bits and pieces left over from previous projects.  I had to put them into a bigger basket, so I thought it was way past time that I used some of them.

I have teamed the boots from the Country Livin' Stamp set with some Touches of Nature Elements, used a die cut piece of Whisper White, a Gold Glimmer Paper Decorative Ribbon Border, Copper Trim bow with a piece of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.  The only new bits I added are the die cut 'amazing' and the word 'YOU'.

Whittaker's Coconut Slab Box

I have been on the hunt lately for ideas on how to use the Tranquil Tide patterned paper from the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack.  I have no trouble using the other colours, but it seems that I have been stock piling the Tranquil Tide sheets and I have a bit of a collection happening.

Today I had success, it is amazing what jumps out at you at the shops.

These Whittaker's Coconut Slabs have Tranquil Tide in the wrapper (or close enough), so this got me thinking about a little box using the Tranquil Tide DSP.

I cased the belly band topper from Linda Parker, I just added the Gold Glimmer Dragon Fly.

You could change the Thank You sentiment to one appropriate for Easter, leave off the Dragon Fly and you have a great little gift for Easter.

Instructions added 26 March 2018

Technique

Cut and fold box base, glue tabs to form box.  Cut and fold the box lid, glue tabs to form lid.  Put Whittaker’s Coconut Slab into the box and put the lid on.

To create the belly band, cut a piece of cardstock 6” x 1” and a piece of Designer Series Paper 6” x 7/8”.  Adhere these together and wrap around the box.

Create the topper for the belly band by cutting out a Scalloped Oval, stamp the images onto a piece of whisper white and punch out using the Label Punch and the 1 ¼” Circle Punch.  Adhere together with dimensionals.  Adhere to the belly band.  A gold dragon fly can be added is you wish.

Brusho

How amazing are these Brusho Crystal Colours. I know you probably knew about them ages ago, but I am only just catching up with them as Stampin' Up! have released a five pack of colours in the new Occasions Catalgoue.

I teamed the Brusho colour Prussian Blue with the rose image from the Petal Palette stamp set.

The base card is Pacific Point with Whisper White and Basic Black mats behind the image.  This is a quick card to make, it looks difficult but is surprisingly easy to make.

White heat emboss the rose image on a piece of Water Colour paper, shake on some Prussian Blue Brusho just over the image and in the immediate surrounding area (I did not cover the entire piece with Brusho) and then spritz with water.  I did not overdo the water as I wanted some white space left.

Party Pandas

Hi everyone, I had a play today with the Brusho Crystal Colour and created some great backgrounds for the one of the Pandas from the Party Pandas stamp set which is part of the current Sale-a-bration promotion.

The first card used the Brusho colours of Yellow, Gamboge and Brilliant Red.  I stamped the piece of water colour paper with the open circle image from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set in Versamark ink, added White Embossing Powder and heat set.  I then added the Brusho, spritz with water and this is the end result.  How amazing.

This card was made the same way as the first, just using the Prussian Blue Brusho as the background colour.

The 'Happy Birthday' is part of the Perennial Birthday stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue.

The Panda was hand cut, not too difficult and adhered to the card front using dimensionals.  Do you like the little Panda?  You can get him for free with the Panda Party stamp set when you purchase $90 or more during the Sale-a-bration promotion.

One more Petal Palette Card

Hi everyone, one more card using the Petal Palette stamp set.  No colouring with Stampin' Blends on this card, just a little stamping, heat embossing and die cutting.

I have used the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack for this card using my favourite card sketch using this paper (you did notice this, right!).
