Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper - Day 7

Hi everyone, welcome to Day 7 of the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper projects.

I have chosen this piece of patterned paper for today's cards.

I really love the imagery in this picture and did not want to hide it too much, so I have kept this card very simple with a sentiment, ribbon and rhinestones.

The stamp set that I have used is Peaceful Moments along with the Layering Ovals Dies and the Stitched Shapes Dies.

The background strip behind the centre panel is a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut at 5cm x 10.5cm (or 2" x 4 1/4") which was embossed with the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder.  The centre Whisper White mat has been cut at 8cm x 12.3cm (or 3 1/4" x 4 1/2").  The card base is Night of Navy.

The two long strips are for decorating the inside of the cards.  You will get 2 cards from each sheet of patterned paper, so this is 8 cards from the 4 sheets in the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper Pack.

Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper - Day 7

Zany Zebras

Hi everyone, hope you are all keeping safe.  We are fortunate here in Western Australia to be in Phase 4 of our roadmap to ease COVID-19 restrictions with Phase 5 scheduled for 18 July.  Life in Western Australia is nearly back to normal, a new normal with travel restrictions for overseas travel and interstate travel to the rest of Australia.  We live in an amazing part of Australia, so we will be holidaying at home in our beautiful State of Western Australia for the foreseeable future.

I have been rather busy at work the past few weeks with it being the end of the Financial Year in Australia so I have not had much time for creating.  You have probably noticed the lack of posts in the past two weeks, and this is the reason why.  My fingers were itching to get creating.

Today's post is a fun card made using the Zany Zebras stamp set.  How cute at these little guys or girls.

I have used two of the new 2020-2022 In Colors, Cinnamon Cider and Bumblebee.  The patterned paper is from the 2020-2022 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper pack.  I cut the circles using the two largest dies from the Stitched Shapes Dies.

The Zebra was stamped using Black Memento Ink, how easy is this no colouring involved.  Do not forget to stamp the ground image underneath, it finishes the image off perfectly.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped using Cinnamon Cider ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and then die cut using the Tasteful Labels Dies. 

The background was embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.  I love the texture that is created on a plan piece of Whisper White cardstock, it turns it into something amazing.

To finish my card I added a piece of Cinnamon Cider Twill Ribbon and some Rhinestones.

Zany Zebras

Magnolia Lane Monday

Hi everyone, over the next couple of months, each Monday I will be sharing cards that I have made using the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack.  I have also used other products from the Magnolia Lane Suite.

I will show tips on how to use the stickers in the card pack, how to use the printed vellum sheets and the cards themselves.  I decided to use the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Cards and Envelopes for the majority of the cards that I have designed.  I love the natural kraft look of these cards and envelopes.

Week one uses the printed vellum sheets in the card pack.

You can leave the vellum sheet untouched just backing it onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, creating a monochromatic card with a natural look.  I just cut the vellum sheet in half to fit the card front, this way you get two cards from the one sheet.  The ribbon is from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack.

For the inside of this card I second generation stamped the small flower image from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set using Early Espresso ink.

Or you can colour the vellum sheet, again backing onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I have coloured this piece with the Petal Pink (Light & Dark) and Mossy Meadow (Light & Dark) Stampin' Blends. Again I have cut the vellum sheet in half to fit the card front.

This card uses one of the flower stickers as a focal point on the sentiment circle.  I decided to offset the middle circle just to add a bit more interest and it left room for the rhinestones which is a great little extra.  The ribbon is the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon, matches perfectly with the colours in the flowers.

For the inside of the card I used the small leaf image sticker that is not coloured, just the outline image.

This is another card, here that I have made previously using one of the vellum sheets from the Magnolia Lane Memories and Card Pack.
