Christmas to Remember

Hi everyone, sharing some last minute Christmas Cards I made using the Christmas to Remember stamp set, Christmas Season stamp set and the Seasonal Label Dies.

I made two cards using the same elements and Designer Series Paper, just changing up the sketch.

The Designer Series Paper is from the Painted Christmas 12" x 12" paper pack from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalogue and the In Good Taste 12" x 12"  paper pack from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue.

The card base is Cherry Cobbler with the colours used to stamp the images being Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Garden Green, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Cherry Cobbler.

I love the Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/2" ribbon that is layered behind the images.  To finish the cards some Red Rhinestones were added.

Hope you enjoyed these two projects.

'Tis the Season

Hi everyone, sharing another set of Christmas cards made using 2 sheets of patterned paper from the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper pack.

The two sheets are the same pattern, I have just used the reverse side for some of the pieces on the cards.  Using the cutting guide below you will get 20 cards from the two sheets of Designer Series Paper.

The first cut I made was a vertical cut at 15.2cm, you will now have 2 pieces 15.2cm x 30.5cm.  I then did a vertical at 11.8cm on the two pieces.  This left two small strips 30.5cm long.  I cut these into six 5.1cm pieces (one wil1 be 5cm).

Cut the 11.8cm x 30.5cm pieces into 6 pieces 5.1cm x 11.8cm (again one will be 5cm).  Take 4 of these 5.1 x 11.8cm pieces and cut them into two pieces 5.1cm x 3.1cm and two pieces 5.1cm x 3cm.

The card bases are Thick Basic White, with a Garden Green mat cut at 8cm x 12.3cm.  I cut Garden Green Scalloped strips 12.3cm long.  I used the die from the Penned Flowers Dies to cut these strips.

Adhered two of the small strips of Designer Series Paper to the right side of the Garden Green mat.  There will be a little gap in the middle that is covered with the scalloped circle. Then adhered the Scalloped edged Garden Green strip to the other piece of the Designer Series Paper and then adhered this in place.

The circle decoration was cut using the Layering Circles Dies.  Cut one scalloped circle with Real Red, one scalloped circle with Garden Green and one plain edged with Basic White.  Adhered the Basic White circle to the Garden Green scalloped circle and then adhered these to the Real Red scalloped circle, offsetting to the left side.  I liked the finished look of the circle being offset.  Adhere the circle element to the card front using wet glue or tape.

The stamp sets used are Christmas to Remember and Christmas Season.  Stamp the Holly leaves using Garden Green ink, stamping off once.  Then stamp the image for the middle of the Holly Leaves using Garden Green ink.  The Holly berries were stamped with Real Red ink.  These were die cut using the Seasonal Label Dies.

Arrange the Holly leaves and berries in place on the circle element.  I did cut one of the berries off before adhering it on top of the other three berries.

Stamp the sentiment using Real Red ink and fussy cut.  Using Dimensionals adhere in place on the circle element. To finish the card a small bow made from the ribbon in the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack was added along with some Red Rhinestones.

Hope you enjoyed this project.

Christmas Season

Hi everyone, sharing one of the projects from yesterday's card class using the Christmas Season stamp set and the matching Seasonal Label Dies.

The Pinecone patterned paper is from the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper Pack which I have matched with a sheet of Woodgrain patterned paper from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper Pack.

The card base is Cherry Cobbler with the other pieces cut at:

Crumb Cake cardstock mat 10.5cm x 11.5cm
Crumb Cake cardstock mat 10.5cm x 8cm
Woodgrain Designer Series Paper cut at 10.5cm x 7.5cm
Pinecone Designer Series Paper 2 pieces cut at 10.5cm x 2.5cm

The images were stamped with Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Garden Green, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Soft Sea Foam and Cherry Cobbler.

The Cherry Cobbler & Gold ribbon is from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalogue.  Some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to finish the card.

Hope you enjoyed this project.

Painted Christmas

Hi everyone, sharing some of the Christmas Cards I made for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) fundraising efforts.

I used one sheet of the 12" x 12" Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper and one sheet of the 12" x 12" In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.

I cut each 12" x 12" sheet into two 10.5cm x 30.5cm strips.  This left a 9.5cm x 30.5cm strip of each piece of paper which is used to make the second design of the cards.

Cut the Woodgrain Designer Series Paper strips into 7.6cm x 10.5cm pieces, you will have 8 pieces after cutting.  Cut the Pinecone patterned Designer Series Paper into four 2.6cm x 10.5cm pieces and four 5.1cm x 10.5cm pieces, you will have 8 of each size after cutting.

Cut 8 pieces of Crumb Cake cardstock 8.1cm x 10.5cm, these are the mats for the Woodgrain Designer Series Paper.

You will need 8 card bases, I used Basic White. Adhere the Woodgrain Designer Series Paper to the Crumb Cake mats. Adhere the 2.6cm x 10.5cm strip to the top of the card and the 5.1cm x 10.5cm piece to the bottom.  Adhere the Woodgrain Designer Series Paper matted piece on the top.

I did try an alternative way to cut the patterned paper, however I liked the Pinecone Designer Series Paper as the background.

For the  9.5cm x 30.5cm strips cut the Pinecone Designer Series Paper piece into four 4.2cm x 12.7cm pieces and the Woodgrain Designer Series Paper piece into four 7.6cm x 9.5cm pieces.  Cut mats 0.4cm larger for each piece and then adhere the patterned paper to the mats.  You will need 4 card bases for these cards.

To decorate these cards I used the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set, Seasonal Label Dies, Gold 3/8" Fine Art Ribbon and Gilded Gems.

This was a great way to make a lot of cards at once.

Hope you enjoyed this project.
