The Simple Joys

I am still making Christmas cards for our Cancer Council Relay for Life Team at work.   I have been using the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper and some of the Christmas stamp sets that are in the Annual Catalogue.

I have used the Christmas Pines stamp set and the Pretty Pines Thinlits for my card.  For the leaves and stamping I have picked up the colours in the Designer Series Paper, Old Olive, Shaded Spruce, Early Espresso and added some Gold Glimmer Paper and Sequin Trim for the centre panel.

Pillow Box

I finally got around to making the pillow box using the 'Trim Your Stocking' Thinlits.  I made these for our recent Stamparoo Stampin' Up! Group swap.  I put a lip balm inside as a little present.  They are rather cute!

The box is made using Kraft cardstock from the 'Merry Little Christmas' cardstock pack and decorated with a strip of 'Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper' and foliage from the 'Pretty Pines Thinlits.'  Celebrate the Season is from the 'Tags & Trimmings' stamp set that was White heat embossed on a piece of Basic Black cardstock and cut out using an oval Stitched Shaped Framelit.  A Cherry Cobbler Double Stitched Ribbon bow was added to finish.

Altered Alphabet Letter

I found these wooden letters for $2.00 each at my local Red Dot Store.  A bit of paint, paper and decoration and you have a gorgeous Christmas decoration.

The first letter I painted with a dark green acrylic paint and then covered the front with a piece of Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper.  I cased the ribbon arrangement from the Holiday Catalogue.  I love this arrangement and the use of the gorgeous Striped Ribbon, the ribbon has wire in it so holds the shape that you bend it into.  A Green Sprig and a Mini Ornament finish the letter.

The second letter I painted with red acrylic paint and covered with a piece of the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The arrangement on this letter was made using the Pretty Pines Thinlits.

Christmas Pines

Hi everyone, I am casing Brandy Barnard for my card today.  In the video show casing the Stitched Shapes Framelits, Brandy showed a label that she had done for a gift box.

I like it so much that I replicated the design onto a card.  It was actually quite a quick card to make, with the Stitched Shapes Framelits just giving that great finishing touch to the centre square.
