Cards for the boys!!

Do you have trouble making cards for the men and boys in your life?   I must admit I tend to go for the flowers, lace and bling first when I start to design a card.   At our Stamperoo's meeting tonight we had to make a masculine card for our swap.

I used the Going Wild Designer Series Paper as I seemed to have collected 4 of these paper pads along the way, I purchased one, got given one by Stampin' Up at the On Stage Local last November and I won two in raffles.  As I had to make 16 cards and the design used a lot of patterned paper I worked out that by making the same card but using different combinations of papers I could get my 16 cards that I needed.

The neutral colours of Tip Top Taupe, Basic Black and Whisper White are a perfect match for the vintage car from the Guy Greetings stamp set.

Thank you for visiting.

A Bit of "Go Wild"

Hi everyone, sharing with you cards I have made using the "Go Wild" Designer Series Paper Stack.   Stampin' Up were so generous at the Onstage events held 13-15 November 2015 and I was lucky enough to attend the Perth Onstage Local Event where all attendees were given a free pack of this paper.

It is pretty easy to make cards for all the girls in our lives, but when it comes to the boys sometimes we get a bit stuck. So I decided to give myself a little challenge using the "Go Wild" Designer Series Paper Stack and the "Guy Greetings" stamp set.  This is what I came up with.

Cars behind the Trees

The card I am sharing with you today is one that I cased from Ann Craig.  When I first spied this card I could not work out how it was done, but having visited Ann's blog and saw how simple it was I was amazed.

This is a great card for the men in our lives. It also has a bit of a vintage feel which I really like. Ann's card is made using the Whisper White cardstock so it has a cleaner look.  It was not until after I put my card together and revisited Ann's post that I realised that I had made my card using the dark cardstock, ah well too late.

The supplies you will need for the card are stamp sets "Guy Greetings" and "And Many More", "Woodlands" Textured Embossing Folder, Night of Navy, Soft Suede and Whisper White cardstock, Linen Thread, Night of Navy and Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pads, Momento Black ink pad, Aquapainter, Washi Label Punch and Word Window Punch.

One for the Guys ...

I have gone with a theme for the "guys" with my card for the Retro Sketches challenge.

The stamp set that I have used is "Guy Greetings" and I have coloured the car with Stampin' Write Markers Baked Brown Sugar and Crumb Cake.  Colour scheme is Early Espresso, Kraft, Very Vanilla and Naturals White.   All edges were distressed with the Stampin' Distress Tool (I have been on a 'distressing bend' today) and inked with Baked Brown Sugar.

Hi everyone, I would like to share with you my card that I have made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

I have used the "Guy Greetings" stamp set from the new Occasions Catalogue launched today, with a colour scheme of Cajun Craze, Basic Black and Whisper White.  I added some Basic Black Bakers Twine along with some of the Basic Black Candy Dots from the Neutrals pack and the Candy Dots Brad Bases.

You're My Anchor

Hi everyone, hope you had a great Christmas Day.  I certainly did with catching up with my family and friends.  A good laugh and catch up along with great food and company makes for a great day.

This is a card that I made for the Mojo Monday Challenge a couple of weeks ago but did not get around to posting it.  So I thought that I would still share it with you as it is a great sneak peak at some of the products in the new Occasions Catalogue due for release on 2 January, 2015.

I have used the stamp set "Guy Greetings" which is a really cool set with lots of images and sentiments for that special male person or people in our lives.  The DSP is from the "Adventure Bound" Designer Series Paper Stack which has some great new style papers in it.   Did you notice the new White Jute Ribbon, this is also in the new Occasions Catalogue.
