A Favourite Card Sketch

Hi everyone, using a favourite card sketch for this creation.  The inspiration for my card I found here, however I found the original inspiration came from Narelle Farrugia here.  I love both cards, just changed this up a bit with the card layout, designer series paper, created a tag and added a few Touches of Nature Elements.

Painted Autumn

This card is one I design to use the left over pieces from some previous projects.  I cut the floral image from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper and layered this on a piece of Burlap Ribbon and another piece of the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper.

The card base is Tangerine Tango, a colour that I do not use a lot but it picked up the small dots of colour in the floral image and gave the card a great lift.

Painted Harvest

I was on the look out for some little gifts for Christmas (or for any occasion actually) when I came across these little tubes of hand cream from the Body Shop.  I have designed a little gift box using the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper.  This gorgeous paper has a sheet with the daisy flowers and I cut one of these out for the decoration on the little box.

I made a matching card, which I ended up making as a birthday card as the gift box I made was not very Christmassy.  I acually did some stamping for the card using the Pained Harvest stamp set and the matching Leaf Punch.

The card and box make a lovely little gift.

Woodgrain Background

Hi everyone, it has been a few weeks since I have posted but I have been a bit busy putting my house back together after a recent burglary.  I never new I had so many clothes that needed to go to the charity shop until they were all pulled out of my wardrobe and dresser.

I have been creating in between and today's card is one using the Wood Textures DSP.  I cased the background from Connie Collins and you can see her amazing card here.

The focal point on my card is a technique called Stained Glass Window Stamping using heat resistant acetate.  This technique can be found on Jennifer Maguires blog here. I had some old overhead projector sheets that I tried and it worked perfectly.

I used the Colorful Seasons stamp set and the matching Seasonal Layers Thinlits to create the Stained Glass Window piece.

To finish the card I used some Pear Pizzazz Shimmer Ribbon, and Old Olive Glitter Enamel Dots

The little banner was made using the stamps sets Birthday Banners and Teeny Tiny Sentiments along with the Bunch of Banners Framelits.
