Lip Balm Gift Packing Instructions

Hi everyone, I have been asked how I made the Lip Balm Packing in my previous post.  So I thought that I would share them with you, hopefully they make sense.

Cut a piece of 6" x 6" DSP in half on the diagonal.

Score from the centre top point of the triangle to the bottom edge, then score at 1/2" to the right of this score line and then at 1/2" intervals to the left of the centre score line.

You will have a little bit left on the left corner from the last score line, I just snipped this off. Fold the centre score line into a valley fold then do a mountain fold on the two 1/2" score lines either side and then a valley, mountain, valley and so on, on the left side score lines.

I put a small piece of double sided tape on the outside of the score line to the right to attached the other side to when you roll up the Lip Balm, see picture. I then put a small drop of glue on each of the insides of the other score lines at the bottom to hold the folds together. It also makes it easier to tie the ribbon around. I cut the ribbon at 20cm.

Once you have the Lip Balm in place and the ribbon tied tease the folded piece out lightly to create a small fan to the packaging.

It sounds complicated but when you actually make one you realise how easy it is. Sorry if I have confused anyone with trying to explain how I did it.

Thank you for visiting.
Carolyn
