Shabby Chic

I just love the challenge this week at The Card Concept.  I have made my card in the Shabby Chic style and have taken inspiration from DT Narelle Farrugia, I just love what Narelle did with the posy and the threads from the Burlap Ribbon, the flower box and arrangement in the picture. 

For my card I have use the stamp sets 'Hardwood', 'Dictionary' and 'Itty Bitty Banners' with a colour palette of Naturals White, Baked Brown Sugar, Blushing Bride and Soft Sky.  The DSP is from the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper.  The embellishments are from the 'Artisan Embellishment Kit", Gold Sequin Trim, Pearls, Burlap Ribbon and Venetian Crochet Trim.

Shabby Chic

I Seriously Love You!

With Valentines Day just around the corner the sketch challenge this week at Deconstructed Sketches is just perfect for my card.

For my card I have taken inspiration from DT Sheri Gilson.  Using the stamp set "Because You Care" from the Occasions Catalogue and the DSP from the "Stacked With Love" paper stack.  Punches used are the 1 3/4" and 2" circle punches, hearts border, sweetheart and small heart from Itty Bitty Accents punch pack. I also used the Hearts Collection thinlits dies, along with Red Glimmer Paper and some rhinestones to finish.  Cardstock is Basic Black and Whisper White.

I Seriously Love You!

A Bit of Vintage Style

Hi everyone, I would like to share with you my card that I made for the challenge this week at Mojo Monday.

I have used a colour scheme of Basic Black, Kraft, Coastal Cabana and Very Vanilla, a colour scheme that I cased from Sandi McIver as the combination together are so striking.  The sentiment is from the 'Chalk Talk' stamp set and the background was made by stamping the 'Hardwood" stamp on Kraft Cardstock with Baked Brown Sugar ink.  I have inked all the edges with Baked Brown Sugar to give it a bit of a vintage feel.  The DSP is from the 2013-15 In-Colour Paper Stack.  The butterfly is made using the 'Butterflies' Thinlits Dies.

A Bit of Vintage Style

Celebrate Today

Hi everyone, I would like to share a card with you that I made using a sketch from Mojo Monday.  I did not get around to entering my card in the challenge but wanted to share with you anyway.


The stamp set is another newby from the new Occasions Catalogue called "Celebrate Today" and the great thing about this stamp set is that it has a matching Framelits Die set. I am a sucker for the stamp sets with the matching dies.  I have used a colour scheme of Lost Lagoon, Pool Party and Kraft.  Images and sentiment were stamped with Baked Brown Sugar.  I used some of the Gold Sequin Trim for a touch of bling.

Celebrate Today

Thank you in butterflies ...

Hi everyone, I would like to share with you my card that I have made for the colour challenge this week at Pals Paper Arts. 


I must admit to sitting on the challenge for a few days, deciding on how to incorporate these colours into a card.  The sketch is one that I cased from Sandy Mathis. I liked the layout so much that I put in my box of ideas and thought it perfect for this colour challenge.


I have used the stamp sets 'Butterfly Basics' and a set from the Sale-A-Bration promotion called 'Lotus Blossum'.  The 'Butterfly Basics' set coordinates with the Butterflies Thinlits which I have used for my butterfly.  I stamped the image in each of the three colours and layered them together to form the butterfly.  A bit of faux stitching was added along with a few pearls to finish.

Best Mother Ever...

Hi everyone, I would like to share my card with you that I have made for the colour challenge this week at Pals Paper Arts, using Night of Navy, Wisteria Wonder and Silver.

On my card I have used the stamps sets 'Flower Shop' and 'And Many More'.  The flowers were created with Heat & Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds, the image was then stamped over this with Momento Black Ink and coloured using the Wisteria Wonder Blendabilites before punching out using the Pansy Punch.  The centres of the flowers were made using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Regals Candy Dots and the Candy Dots Brad Bases.  Ribbons is the Silver 5/8" Satin Ribbon and the Silver 1/8" Ribbon.  The leaves were made using the Flower Frenzy Bigz L die.

Best Mother Ever...

To A Classic ...

Hi everyone, I would like to share with you my card that I have made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

I have used the "Guy Greetings" stamp set from the new Occasions Catalogue launched today, with a colour scheme of Cajun Craze, Basic Black and Whisper White.  I added some Basic Black Bakers Twine along with some of the Basic Black Candy Dots from the Neutrals pack and the Candy Dots Brad Bases.
