Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper - Day 5

Hi everyone, welcome to Day 5 of the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper projects.

I have chosen this piece of patterned paper for today's cards.

For this card I have used the Perfectly Plaid stamp set, Poinsettia Dies, Stitched So Sweetly Dies and Sprig Punch.

This piece of pattern paper is so pretty and it does all the work for you.  I kept the sentiment panel quite simple at the top of the card so that you can see the best of the picture in the paper.

The 'Merry Christmas' from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set was stamped using Misty Moonlight ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and the die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  I added a silver berry foliage piece cut from Silver Foil Sheet and the die from the Poinsettia dies.  Two Vellum sprigs were also added, these were punched using the Sprig Punch.  To finish off a piece of Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon was adhered behind the sentiment panel and a few Rhinestones added for a little bling.

To decorate the inside of the card I stamped the solid tree image from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set.

This is the Metric Measurement cutting guide.

This is the Imperial Measurement cutting guide.

For the Imperial Measurement you will have a 1/2" strip left.  You can use this to decorate the inside of the card instead of the trees.

I love these finished cards and I know it is because of the gorgeous picture in the paper.  They are quite quick and easy to make.  You can make 8 of these cards from the 4 sheets of the patterned paper in the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper Pack.

Hope you enjoyed today's project.

Tag Topper Punch Christmas Box

Hi everyone, sharing a little Christmas Box made using the Tag Topper Punch.  This is the third project that the ladies made last Sunday in class.

I do not know who actually designed these little boxes as there are several versions that I have found, however I followed the tutorial by Angie Juda here, so thank you Angie.

I just changed the decoration as I have used the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper Pack, Shaded Spruce and Gold Glimmer Paper sprigs made using the Sprig Punch with the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set.  This was die cut using the Stitched Oval from the Stitched Shaped Dies and layered onto a Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Oval die cut using the Layering Ovals Dies.

A few Gold Glimmer Enamel Dots were added to finish.

Rocklea Road Box

Hi everyone, sharing a little Christmas box I made to fit a 60g bar of Darrell Lea Rocklea Road Chocolate.

I used the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper with Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla cardstock along with the Labels to Love stamp set, Everyday Label Punch, Triple Banner Punch, Sprig Punch and Striped Burlap Trim.  Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' Ink pads were used for the stamping.

To make the box you will need the following:

Measurements

Cherry Cobbler cardstock 8 ¼” x 5”
Cherry Cobbler cardstock 7 ¾” x 5 ¼”
Christmas DSP – 2 pieces 5” x 1 5/16”
                            1 piece 5” x 1 13/16”
                            1 piece 5” x ¼”
Gold Foil Sheet 5 ¼” x 1"
Striped Burlap Trim
Mossy Meadow cardstock for Sprigs
Very Vanilla cardstock for Christmas panel
1/2" Cherry Cobbler Circle
Brad

Technique

Score the 8 ¼” x 5” piece of cardstock at 1 ½” in all four sides.  Create a basic box base.

Score the 7 ¾ x 5 ¼ piece of cardstock on the long edge at 1 9/16”, 3 5/8”, 5 316” and 7 ¼” – This piece is the box cover and it wraps around the box base.

Adhere the Designer Series Paper to the box cover, add a brad and then adhere the cover to the box.

Decorate the lid of the box.
