Tuesday Challenge #13

Hi everyone, I have a quick and easy card for the 13th week of my Tuesday Challenge where I have challenged myself to use a stamp set and other goodies from the Annual Catalogue to create a card or other project.

My stamp set of choice this week is 'Lift Me Up'.  This set is retiring so is only available until the 3rd June 2019, so don't miss out if you want this set.  It comes with a set of coordinating dies, I have not used these on my project as I wanted to keep the card simple to make.

The card base is Night of Navy with the Whisper White 1st layer cut at 9.5cm x 13.8cm.  This was embossed using the Softly Falling embossing folder.  You can leave out the embossing but I really like the added extra texture it gave to the card.  This piece was then adhered to the card front.

Cut a piece of Night of Navy striped Designer Series Paper from the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper pack at 6cm x 10.5cm.  Adhere this to the card front.

The centre panel was cut using the 3rd largest die in the Stitched Rectangle dies.  The sentiment was stamped on the bottom using Night of Navy ink with the large hot air balloon stamped in Real Red and the two small hot air balloons stamped in Daffodil Delight.  The clouds were stamped using Balmy Blue.  This centre panel was then matted onto a piece of Night of Navy cut at 8cm x 11.5cm before adhering to the card front using dimensionals.

For the inside cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 10cm  x 14.3cm, stamp two small hot air balloons on the bottom right  using Daffodil Delight ink before adhering to the inside of the card.

#simplestamping

Hi everyone, sharing another #simplestamping card.

The #simplestamping challenge for February is

  • Theme: Birthday
  • Supplies: Stamps, ink and paper
  • Bonus Material/Tool: You may add a layer of Designer Series Paper

I have used the Life Me Up stamp set and ink colours Real Red Balmy Blue, Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight.  I added a 1/2" strip of Designer Series Paper to the bottom of my card and a 3/4" strip to the top before stamping my hot air balloons, clouds and sentiment in the centre.

Up & Away ....

Hi everyone, I have been lucky enough to be selected to stamp for the display boards at the Perth OnStage Local event to be held on 8 April.  I have been busy stamping and creating for the display boards and realised that I have been neglecting my blog, sorry about that (I have been like a kid in the toy store).  You will get to see all my creations after the 8 April.

A quick card for today. I have used the Up & Away Thinlits dies and the Lift Me Up stamp set on my card with a colour scheme of Basic Black, Whisper White and Crumb Cake.

Sending Smiles Across the Miles

Hi everyone, as promised another card using the new stamp set 'Lift Me Up' and the coordinating 'Up & Away' Thinlits.

I have been a bit tardy in sending some birthday cards recently so I have made this one to send to a special friend.  I love the sentiment 'Sending Smiles Across the Miles' and I thought it was perfect for a belated birthday card.

I created the scene with sponging the sky in Soft Sky (Note: the Thinlits have a large cloud image that is just the thing for sponging around to create the clouds in the sky).  The hills I made by creating a template from a piece of scrap paper as a mask and then sponging Smoky Slate.  The pine trees are from the long lasting stamp set 'Lovely as a Tree", I stamped the trees in Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green and Always Artichoke.

Don't forget the inside of the card.  I stampe the clouds using Soft Sky in the bottom corner and created a couple of extra balloons to add over the clouds.

Thank you for visiting.
