Stash Busting Saturday - Take to the Sky 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper

Hi everyone, for this week's 'Stash Buster' I have used a card sketch from Splitcoaststampers #SC289.  I just turned the sketch on it's side.  The patterned paper is from the Take to the Sky 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper pack.

I cut the pieces of Designer Series Paper at 7.6cm x 10.2cm and the mat 7.9cm x 10.5cm.  The strip of Mossy Meadow Cardstock is 3.8cm x 12.1cm and was embossed using the Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder. The centre panel is 7.6cm x 5.7cm.

You will get 12 cards from the one sheet of Designer Series Paper.

I stamp set and dies used are Legendary Ride.

I hope you enjoyed this week's 'Stash Buster'

Anything Goes Class Project

Hi everyone, sharing one of the projects that the ladies made at my 'Anything Goes Class' held last Sunday.

I used the Cut and Shuffle technique for these cards.  I cut 4 strips of patterned paper from the Delightfully Eclectic 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper Pack into 11.8cm x 30.5cm strips.  I then cut these strips into 7.5cm x 11.8cm pieces.  These were then cut into a strip 4.1cm x 11.8cm & the other strip is 3.4cm x 7.5cm.  These two strips were then cut at 5.1cm, this leaves the balance of the strip being 6.7cm.  So you will have four pieces measuring 4.1cm x 6.7cm, 4.1cm x 5.1cm, 3.4cm x 6.7cm and 3.4cm x 5.1cm after all this cutting.

You just need to shuffle the Designer Series Paper around so you have 4 of each combination, 16 cards in all.  These pieces were adhered to a Basic Black cardstock mat cut at 8.5cm x 12.8cm and this was then adhered to the Crushed Curry card base.

The flag end banner across the card was die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies.  This die cut was cut in half so it could be stretched across the card. The gap in the middle is covered up by the sentiment panel.

The sentiment panel was die cut using the Nested Essential Dies.  I have used the Legendary Ride and matching dies to create my sentiment and focal point.  Adhere this piece to the card front using dimensionals and add some Brushed Metallic Dots to finish the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Dad You're The Coolest

Hi everyone, sharing a card I made using the Legendary Ride stamp set and dies.  I have used a colour scheme of Basic Black, Basic White, Real Red and Smoky Slate.

The Designer Series Paper is from the 6" x 6" Neutrals Paper Stack, the gems are from the Loose Holly Gems & Sequins and the ribbon is from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack.

The Designer Series Paper was cut at 7.6cm x 7.6cm (3" x 3") and 7.6cm x 4.1cm (3" x 1 5/8") and the mat was cut at 8cm x 12.3cm (3 1/8" x 4 7/8").

The motorbike was stamped using Smoky Slate ink and then the sentiment 'Dad You're The Coolest' stamp over the top with Black Memento ink. This piece was then die cut using the Deckled Rectangle Dies.

This card layout is very quick and easy and great to use when you need a card in a hurry (you forgot to make one, lol).

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Ride On It's Your Birthday

Hi eveyone, sharing another of the projects from January's card class.  This one uses products from the Ready to Ride Suite.

The background was created by inking the Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder with Black Memento ink and embossing it.  I love the distressed look that this created.

The tag was created using the Tailored Made Tag Dies, the All That Dies, Legendary Ride stamp set and Legendary Ride Dies.

Hope you enjoyed this project.
