February Card Class Project 1

Hi everyone, sorry for being absent in posting for the last 6 weeks, but I have been having a little break from card making and working on getting my garden in order.  It had got out of hand a bit and I wanted to get my winter vegie garden going.

Today's project is from my February Card Class and it uses the Floral Delight 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper along with the Delightful Wishes Stamp set.

This is a fun fold card layout I cased from Susan Campfield. I just adapted the measurements to create a card in the metric sized used in Australia and used different papers and stamp set.

This is how the card looks as it is opened and the inside of the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Thank you for visiting.

Stash Buster Saturday - Using up Paper Scraps

Hi everyone, for this week's Stash Buster project I decided to use up the paper scraps and strips I had left in the Mediterranean Blooms 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper pack.  I cut them down to 3.8cm x 3.8cm squares and then matted them onto 4.3cm x 4.3cm Basic White cardstock mats.

I made 11 cards using Night of Navy cardbases, the matted squares of Designer Series Paper, a Basic White cardstock rectangle die cut using the Textured Notes Dies, a Lemon & foliage image fussy cut from one of the sheets in the same paper pack, Linen Thread, Gold Textured Adhesive Backed Dots and the sentiment from the Delightful Wishes stamp set which was white heat embossed on Night of Navy cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed this simple card layout showing you how to use those pesky paper scraps.

Floral Delight Suite

Hi everyone, sharing 3 cards I made using products from the Floral Delight Suite, available in the new Mini Catalogue January-April 2025, and a Cut and Shuffle technique.

To make these cards cut 3 pieces of Designer Series Paper at 7.5cm x 11.8cm.   On the right hand side from the top measure 2.5cm and 6.3cm down the side and put a small pencil mark.  On the left hand side from the bottom measure 2.5cm and 6.3cm up the side and put a small pencil mark.  Cut on the diagonal from the 2.5cm mark on the right hand side to the 6.3cm mark on the left hand side, then cut on the diagonal from the 6.3cm mark on the right hand side to the 2.5cm mark on the left hand side.  You can cut all 3 pieces at once, just make sure you keep them together correctly.

You will now have 3 pieces of each of the Designer Series Paper.  This is where the Shuffle part of the technique comes in.  Shuffle them pieces around until you have one of each pattern of each card.  These are then adhered to the Basic White mat that is cut at 8cm x 12.3cm.  Adhere these to the Pecan Pie card base using Dimensionals.

For the centre panel I used the stamps from the Delightful Wishes stamp set.  I used Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry for the flowers, Pecan Pie for the stem and Old Olive ink for the stamping.  I really liked how this colour combination turned out and it matched the Designer Series Paper perfectly.

The sentiment is from the 'You a Happy Birthday' stamp in the set.  I just die cut it using the long label die in the Delightful Wishes stamp set and trimmed the edges ont the diagonal cutting off the words 'You a'.

To finish the cards I added a Tiny Bee Trinket.

I hope you enjoyed these projects.
