Snowy Christmas Village
I was so inspired by Pamela T Stoner's card "Snowy Village Holiday Homes" that I had to make this card myself. Once I worked out the technique it was as simple as embossing, masking and sponging. This is the card I made the same as Pamela's card.
This is my take on Pamela's card using the same snowy scene background and the houses from the Holiday Home stamp set.

The Paper Players - Jaydee's Sketch
Jaydee has a sketch challenge this week at The Paper Players challenge.
I have used a colour scheme of Midnight Muse and Whisper White with Silver Glimmer Paper edging the sides of the Midnight Muse DSP. I used and bit of artistic licence with the sketch and added Rhinestones to the arch bases on the Silver Glimmer Paper. The sentiment is from the Christmas Lodge stamp set.

It's Christmas in the Heart

Using the Heart of Christmas stamp set and the Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP with a colour scheme of Early Espresso, Real Red and Very Vanilla this is the card I have created.
The snowflake is made using the Snow Flurry Bigz Die and Champagne Glimmer Paper with the sentiment cut out using the Apothecary Accents Framelits.
The Very Vanilla was embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. This sketch is great as you can make a christmas card in no time at all. The sketch is easy to adapt for whatever type of card that you are wishing to make.
I received an Honourable Mention for my card which I am quite chuffed with.

Snowman

Would you believe that the only Snowman stamp I had in my stash was from the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set. He was so tiny that he got lost on the all the card ideas I came up with. As a last resort I stamped him three times and punched him out using the 1" circle punch and the made co-ordinating 1 1/4" scalloped circles in the colours of the challenge and layered them on the card.
The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiment stamp set.
Come to Bethlehem
Using the Framelits Window Frames Collection I have made an easel card of a different shape. This idea I got from Narelle Farrugia whose work I absolutely adore, with all the layers and elements on her cards.
At Create with Connie & Mary this week, the challenge is to make a shaped card using framelits or dies and also to use this sketch.
The Champagne Glimmer Paper is the gold and the glam is a Rhinestone added to the star.
The colour scheme is not the norm for Christmas, but a liked the finished result.
The colour scheme I have used is Basic Black, Whisper White and Champagne Glimmer Paper as the challenge at The Paper Players this week is to add some glam and glitz by featuring gold or silver on our creations, so I have combined the two challenges to make my card.

Christmas Lodge
It has been a few weeks since my last post, I have been making cards but just not posting. I have also been creating craft items for an upcoming Christmas Market Day that I attend in Moora each year, so I have been busy stitching for that as well.
I recently purchased the Crumb Cake medium envelopes from Stampin' Up and Crumb Cake being a favourite colour of mine I decided to make a Christmas card using it as the base card to go with the envelopes. I am going to make sets of these for the Christmas Market Day.
I had a lot of false starts before I created this card and with the medium envelope being slightly smaller that the average C6 size I had a few issues with my measurements until I got it correct (I was having one of those days).
The stamp sets used are Christmas Lodge, Petite Pairs and the Take a Ticket Stampin' Wheel.
The Christmas Lodge was stamped with Staz On Black and the snow was coloured using the White Gel Pen. The border was stamped using the small leaf stamp in the Christmas Lodge stamp set.
The ticket was made by colouring in the outline of one of the tickets on the Take A Ticket Stampin' Wheel with a Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker and rolling this onto Whisper White cardstock. The sentiment, from the Petite Pairs stamp set, was then stamped in the middle of the ticket and the ticket then cut out.
Once the centre piece had been finished, Whisper White Bakers Twine was wrapped around the piece before it was adhered to the card using dimensionals. The ticket was also layered up with dimenionals and a button from the Neutrals Designer Button added with a piece of Whisper White Bakers Twine tied through the holes. The button was adhered using a glue dot.
The measurements for the card are:
Crumb Cake - 14cm x 21cm, folded in half to create the base card.
Whisper White - 13.5cm x 10cm, embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder.
Crumb Cake - 10.5cm x 7.5cm.
Whisper White - 10cm x 7cm.
Crumb Cake - 9.5cm x 6.5cm, image stamped on this piece.

Vintage Christmas Cards
On Sunday I had a little time to play and decided to make some vintage style Christmas cards.
Colour scheme is Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Naturals Ivory and Soft Suede. Stamp sets used are "Christmas Wishes", "Petite Pairs" and "Christmas Lodge".
I used the Stampin' Up Music Note Wheel to create some DSP which I have used throughout the cards. The tickets were made using the Take a Ticket Wheel, I inked the edges of the Ticket on the Wheel with a Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker, created the ticket then stamped Merry Christmas in the middle of the ticket to finish. DSP is Festival of Prints. Finishing touch of Brushed Bronze designer buttons from the Holiday Catalogue with some Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine.

Merry Christmas
The Simply Stampin' Challenge this week is based on the sketch below which went perfectly with the colour challenge at Dynamic Duos of Cherry Cobbler and Your Choice. I chose Gumball Green as my colour of choice and have made the following Christmas Card, which was a quick and easy make using the "Jolly Bingo Bits" stamp set and the 1", 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches. The sentiment is from the "Petite Pairs" stamp set and the DSP is "Be of Good Cheer".

Christmas Cards
Cards I made for display at the Perth Heartfelt Stampin' Event held yesterday.
Sneak peak at two new stamp sets in the Holiday Catalogue, "Watercolor Winter" and "Christmas Wishes". The DSP used is from the 2012/13 Annual Cataolgue, "Be of Good Cheer". The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla Seam Binding and the new 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon Gumball Green from the new 2012/13 Annual Catalogue. Cardstock of co-ordinating colours of Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and a new In-Colour of Gumball Green. I added some Soft Suede to go with the vintage look on some of my cards.
I found the tutorial on how to do the ribbon weave wreath here.

I tried a new technique I found on YouTube on ribbon weaving. I love the finished effect.
Pop-up Card
This card showed the 2-step stamps in the "Watercolor Winter" set.
My Vintage Santa. Faux Patina technique was used on the Soft Suede cardstock mat.
The "HO HO HO" was cut from the Balloon stamp on the "Christmas Wishes" stamp set.
Faux Patina technique used to create the frame which was punched out with the new
Apothecary Accents Framelits. The centre was then punched out using
the Extra Large Oval punch. It was popped up using dimensionals to give the effect of a frame.

Merry Monday Challenge #21
The idea of the Merry Monday Challenge is to get a head start on your Christmas Cards. The sketch this week I really liked and the card I have made is quite simple, using Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Very Vanilla.

Stamps used are from the Winter Post and Curly Cute stamp sets by Stampin' Up. I have embossed the reindeer with gold embossing powder to give him a little bit of Christmas glitz.
