Hi everyone, it is time for another 'Stash Busting Saturday' show and tell.
I selected the Softly Stippled 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper for this week's Stash Buster. This Designer Series Paper is one of the free Sale-A-Bration items if you place a qualify order of $90 or more.
I used 3 sheets of the Designer Series Paper and made 22 cards. One of the things I love about Stampin' Up! is the coordination of products.
I made 16 cards using this sketch. The card base is a piece of A4 card cut in half and then scored and folded in half.
I cut the Floral and Leaf pattern piece of Designer Series Paper into 2 pieces 12.3cm x 30.5cm, make sure to make the cut horizontal. Then cut these 2 pieces into 3.5cm x 12.3cm strips. You will have two 2.5cm x 12.3cm pieces left, these are used to make another 2 cards. You will also have a long 5.9cm x 30.5cm strip left, this is used to make 4 more cards. The mats are cut at 3.9cm x 12.7cm.
The Pool Party patterned piece of Designer Series Paper was cut into 2 pieces 12.3cm x 30.5cm, make sure to make the cut horizontal. Then cut these 2 pieces into 1.9cm x 12.3cm pieces. You need 2 pieces for each card. There is a very small strip left which you can discard. You will also have a 5.9cm x 30.5cm strip left, this is used to make the extra 4 cards. The mats are cut at 2.3cm x 12.8cm.
The Wild Wheat patterned piece of Designer Series Paper was cut into 5.1cm x 7.6cm pieces. The mats are cut at 5.5cm x 8cm.
I used a variety of stamp sets for the sentiments, Layering Leaves, Pansy Patch, Stippled Roses and Thoughtful Expressions. The flowers were made using the Stippled Roses Dies. I stamped directly onto the piece of Designer Series Paper using Black Memento Ink.
The last 2 cards I call my scrap cards, they use the 2 pieces of Floral & Leaf patterned Designer Series paper 2.5cm x 12.3cm left from the first 16 cards. The mats were cut at 2.9cm x 12.7cm. The two Pool Party patterned paper strips were what was left, I just cut these into 12.3cm length strips. The mats were cut to fit the size of patterned paper. The centre piece was the last two pieces of the Wild Wheat patterned paper, just flipped over to show the Pool Party patterned paper side. These were cut into 2.5cm x 7.6cm strips and adhere to the mat which was cut at 2.9cm x 12.7cm. There is a gap in the middle, however this is covered with the centre panel.
