Candy Cane Gift Card Holder

Hi everyone, sharing one of the projects from the November Class which uses products from the Sweetest Christmas Suite.  It is a gift card holder that also fits the $1 Scratchies if you only want to give a small Christmas token to someone.

To make the little pocket you need a piece of Real Red cardstock 17cm x 11.2cm.   Score this on the 17cm edge at 8cm and 16cm and on the 11.2cm edge at 1cm.

Fold and burnish all the fold lines and cut away the sections marked in yellow as per the diagram below.

I did cut a small diagonal piece off on the pieces that fold up to form the flaps that hold the pocket together.  I makes it easier to fold the flaps in.  Adhere the pocket together.

Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper at 17cm x 7.5cm and wrap this around the pocket.

Die cut two circles, one Real Red and one Basic White.  Adhere these together and then adhere to the card front.

Die cut two Candy Canes from the Designer Series Paper, or stamp two Candy Canes and die cut these.  Adhere to the circle element.

Die cut the piece to thread the Candy Cane through from Basic White and then stamp the sentiment using Black Memento ink.  Thread the Candy Cane through the holes and then tie a bow around the top of the Candy Cane.  Stamp the Mistletoe using Garden Green ink and die cut.  Add this just below the ribbon bow.  Add some Rhinestones to finish.

Hope you enjoyed this project.
