Freshly Made Sketches #437

Hi everyone, I am playing along this week with the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

For my card I have used the Painted Poppies stamp set to stamp the vertical lines behind the stars with Basic Gray ink.  I did use Black Momento ink the first time, however it was very dark and the other die cuts just disappeared.  The lighter colour gives a better contrast making the Basic Black sentiments pop.

The stars were die cut using the Stitched Stars Dies and I have used the colours Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody, Real Red and Pacific Point.

The die cut word 'Happy' is from the Word Wishes dies with the 'Birthday' being from the matching stamp set A Wish for Everything.  I stamped this with Versamark in and white heat embossed it before punching it out with the Classic Label Punch.

For the inside of the card I adhere 3 thin strips of the matching cardstock along the bottom.

A few Rhinestones were added to finish the card.

This is a great card for teenagers, this one being suitable for the boys.  For the girls you just need to change the colours to make a more girly version.

Thank you for visiting.
