Just Wanted to Say ....

Hi everyone, sharing some cards I made to send out to a few friends and family during this time of social distancing.  I miss seeing everyone, but thought I could send a little note to keep in touch.

For my cards I used the Ornate Gardens Specialty Designer Series Paper, the Ornate Thanks stamp set, Ornate Layers Dies, Daisy Lane stamp set, Medium Daisy Punch and the Leaf Punch.

I really like the saying 'just wanted to say' as you can then lead into what you want to say inside the card.  I have just stamped some daisies inside my card for decoration, but you could stamp another sentiment such as 'Thanks' from the same stamp set or 'Happy Birthday' from another stamp set.  You could make these cards and have them on hand for any occasion.

The base card is Early Espresso with a Whisper White mat behind the Designer Series Paper.  This colour combination is Early Espresso and Terracotta Tile.

The next two cards have the new colour Bumblebee in the Designer Series Paper and as this ink colour is not yet available (coming soon) I used So Saffron to stamp the daisy flowers.

I got 6 cards from each 12" x 12" piece of Designer Series Paper, so I have quite a little stash of cards to send out.  I just need to sit down and write my message to everyone.

Did you notice the centre of the daisies, these are the new Gilded Gems.  Just perfect for adding a little bit of bling.

Just Add Ink Challenge #500 - Just Add a Die Cut Word

Hi everyone, I am playing along this week with the challenge at Just Add Ink - 'Just Add a Die Cut Word'.

I have used the 'A Wish for Everything' stamp set and the 'Word Wishes Dies' to cut the word Happy.  I layered 3 die cuts together to give more dimension to the die cut.

The Tulip flowers were made by stamping the large Tulip image from the 'Timeless Tulips' stamp set with Terracotta Tile ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched out with the Tulip Builder Punch.

The other flowers were made by stamping the flower image from the 'Floral Essence' twice of one flower using Petal Pink ink  on Whisper White cardstock and punched out with the Perennial Flower Punch.  The two pieces were layered together to form one flower and a Gold Faceted Gem was added for the flower centre.

The leaves were stamped on Old Olive cardstock using Old Olive ink.  The leaf images were from the same stamp sets and punched out using the Tulip Builder Punch and the Leaf Punch.  A few Gold Glimmer Paper Sprigs were added for a little bit of bling along with some Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

The background was embossed using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.

Easter Basket for Mum ...

Hi everyone, what are you all doing to keep busy at home?

I decorated an Easter Basket and made a card for my Mum who is in a Nursing Home.

I used the Daisy Lane stamp set along with the Daisy, Medium Daisy and Leaf Punches.  The flowers were stamped with Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape and Daffodil Delight ink on Whisper White cardstock before being punched out.  To flowers were layered together to form the flower and a Clear Faceted Gem was added for the flower centres.  The leaves are made using the Leaf Punch and Granny Apple Green cardstock.

For the card I used the new Orante Floral 3D Embossing Folder and Ornate Layers Dies along with one of the flowers made the same as for the basket.  The 'Easter Greetings' is from the Fable Friends stamp set, this was stamped using Black Memento ink and die cut using the Ornate Frames Dies.

I cannot visit my Mum at the moment, but we can drop things off for our loved ones.  The Nursing Home set up a drop off box for us so we do not have to go into the facility. I put enough chocolates and Easter Eggs in Mum's basket so she can share with the Carers that are doing such a great job of looking after her. I know that Mum likes to share her chocolates so I made sure she had enough to go around.

I did a quick 25 minute round trip to drop it off this morning, I did not see another person apart of those driving around. It is a very strange feeling not interacting with people, but this is the new normal for a while yet.

Another Vintage Style Project...

Hi everyone, hope you are all well and keeping safe.

I am sharing another of my vintage style projects made using the one sheet of Designer Series Paper from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper.

It is great to have a little gift and Thank you card ready for when you need them.  Just perfect to say a little thank you to someone.

This card sketch is one I have used many times before and it is terrific for using the smaller pieces of Designer Series Paper.  These pieces measure 3cm x 5.1cm each.

For the little gift packaging I have used one of the 7.6cm x 15.2cm Gusseted Cellophane Bags to which I have tied a tag I created using the die from the Bonanza Dies.  I tied the bag with the Crumb Cake Natures Twine.

Magnolia Lane Monday

Hi everyone, sharing another card made using the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Cards.

This card is great for a male birthday card.  It uses the leaf spray sticker from the sticker sheets in the card pack with the sentiment from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set being stamped using Early Expresso ink.

Linen Thread was adhered in place behind the sentiment panel which was created using the Stitched Label Dies.

For the inside of the card one of the border strip pieces was adhered to the bottom of a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Easter Bunny Project

Hi everyone, sharing a little Easter project.  It holds two small Lindt Chocolate Gold Bunnies.

The base Triangular Treat Box was created by Pootles all I did was change the size slightly and added the decorations from the Fable Friends stamp set and the Ornate Frames dies.

The patterned paper is from the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper.

I stamped the bunny image on a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and then coloured it with the Watercolor Pencils and an Aquapainter.  The bunny was fussy cut before being adhere to the box using dimensionals.

Botanical Prints Product Medley

Hi everyone, sharing a card made using the Botanical Prints Product Medley.

I love the versatility of the Botanical Prints Product Medley, you can use sentiments from other stamps sets and create a card or project for any occasion.

I have used the stamp set from the kit, along with the Designer Series Paper and a laser cut Pretty Peacock overlay on my card.  I added some Copper Foil Sheet strips, some Copper Trim that was teased apart, Copper leaves cut using the dies in the kit and a Copper Bee as a finishing embellishment.

Poppy Birthday

Hi everyone, sharing a card made using products from the gorgeous Peaceful Poppies Suite.

The patterned paper is from the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper pack.  I kept the card design pretty simple as I wanted to show this gorgeous paper.

The stitched die that the Happy Birthday has been stamped on is from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, these dies are fast becoming my favourite go to die set for sentiments.

I added a Copper Foil leaf die cut using the Poppy Moments dies, this was adhered over a piece of Copper Trim that had been teased apart with the sentiment being adhered on top of this.  Did you notice the little Copper Bee?  This is from the Botantical Prints Product Medley Suite, you get 12 of these little bees in this kit.
