A Little Gift Box

Hi everyone, sharing another of the projects that the ladies made at yesterday's class.

This little box is 4 3/4" high x 1 3/4" wide x 1" deep.  It holds a 30g tube of handcream or whatever you would like to put in it.  I gave the ladies a Thursday Planation 30g tube of Aloe Vera Gel to put in the box.  This would make a great little thank you gift.

To make this little box you will need the following:
Garden Green cardstock 7 ¼” x 6”
Designer Series Paper
-  2 pieces 1 5/8” x 4 5/8”
-  2 pieces 7/8” x 4 5/8”
-  1 piece 7/8” x 1 5/8”

Score the Garden Green cardstock piece
- on the 7 ¼” edge at 1”, 5 ¾” & 6 ¾”
- on the 6” edge at 1 ¾”, 2 ¾”, 4 ½” & 5 ½”

Fold and burnish all the score lines.

Cut as per the diagram, taking note that the yellow areas are to be cut away.

You cut along the dotted line _.._.._ making sure to stop where the solid line commences.

Once you have finished the cutting, round the corners of the piece that folds down to close the box.

Using the 1” circle punch cut a small half circle on the front top.  This is so you can open the box easily.

Adhere the DSP in place, taking note to re-punch the small half circle.  This is punched twice as the punch will not punch through the cardstock and the DSP when they are layered together.

I will admit that I have never been a big fan of the colour Garden Green, but the new Garden Lane Designer Series Paper has Garden Green as one of the colours and now I cannot seem to get enough of it.  I have purchased two packs of cardstock in the last month and before that I think I had only purchased one pack in the last two years.  Who would have thought that this gorgeous paper would change my outlook on the colour Garden Green, it now seems to be one of my favourites.
