Gone Fishing

Hi everyone, sharing a card that I made for one of the projects at my friend Pat's Stamp Camp this weekend.

Did I mention that I am in Toodyay this weekend enjoying a weekend of Stampin', Chattin' and Laughin' with a great bunch of friends?  Pat holds this camp each year and I just love getting away from suburbia for a few days.  Toodyay is also only about 50 minutes south of where I grew up on a farm at Calingiri, so I feel right at home.

This is a 'Z' fold card with the additional centre panel.

I have used Designer Series Paper from the Wood Textures and the Share What You Love Paper Packs as this went with the monochromatic look of my card.

The stamp set is Best Catch and I have also used the coordinating Catch of the Day Dies.

To create the centre panel Punch out a ¾” circle from the Post-it Note and position in place on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Using a Sponge Brayer apply Crumb Cake ink to the bottom (darker) and the top (lighter).  Remove the Post-It Note circle.

Stamp the Fisherman image using Soft Suede ink onto the sponged Very Vanilla piece.  Also stamp the little dot image along the bottom of this piece using Soft Suede ink.  Adhere this to the card front.

For the inside stamp the Fish image using Crumb Cake on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and adhere in place.

Die cut the Bull Rushes from Crumb Cake cardstock and colour the tops with Dark Soft Suede Stampin' Blend.

Stamp the Fishing Bag and the Fish Hook using Soft Suede on the piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and stamp the Hat using Early Espresso ink.  Colour using the Blender Pen.  Die cut all the pieces and adhere to the card front.

  1. Your stamping time away was very productive! I just love this! I wish I had someone in my family who liked to fish, I'd get this set myself!!!
