Another Petal Palette Creation

Hi everyone, another of the cards I made using the Petal Palette stamp set.

I coloured the rose with Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Stampin' Blends.

The card base is Fresh Fig with the Designer Series Paper from the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack.

Petal Palette

Hi everyone, I need to restock the card supply at work for our fundraising for our WA Cancer Council Relay For Life Team so I had a little play with the Petal Palette stamp set today.

I was not sure when I first saw this set in the Occasions Catalogue that it was one that I would use, but now that I have used it I think it will become one of my favs.

I made a set of 3 congratulations cards.  These seem to be the ones that everyone is buying at the moment, it may have something to do with it being summer and it is the wedding season.

The colouring was done with the Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Stampin' Blends.  I love the rich deep colour of the finished roses, it makes me want to go and pick some out of the garden (that will be tomorrows job).

Whitewash Technique

Hi everyone, revisited an old technique for today's post.  Using the Amazing You stamp set I did the Whitewash Technique on a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.  I did two backgrounds, one coloured with the White Craft Ink and an Aquapainter and the other coloured with the White Stampin' Chalk Marker.  They both turned out okay, but my favourite is the one coloured with the White Craft Ink.

I wrapped a piece of vellum around the card front to adhere the word "Celebrate" cut out using the Celebrate You Thinlits dies.

Don't forget the envelope, I stamped the flower image on the envelope front bottom left with Early Espresso ink.

This is the second card with the background technique coloured using the White Stampin' Chalk Marker.

Again don't forget the envelope.

The white areas in the pictures appear white solid, however the actual card has a great whitewashed effect.

Celebrate You

Using two of my favourite Sate-a-bration items  for this project, the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies and the Amazing You stamp set.  You can get the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies for free when you purchase $180 and the Amazing You stamp set is free for every $90 you spend.  I love a bargain.

This card uses the Color Theory Designer Series Paper for the centre panel and the ombre side strips.

I coloured the flowers with the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends and the leave have been stamped with Always Artichoke ink.

Freshly Made Sketches #319

I am playing along this week with the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

I coloured the flower image from the Falling Flowers stamp set with Stampin' Blends and added some small highlight dots in the centre with a White Gel Pen.  I masked the flowers during the stamping process, this allows you to layer the flowers over each other without stamping into the front image.

The flower image was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock before colouring with the Stampin' Blends.

The base card is Old Olive with strips of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper and Very Vanilla cardstock adhered to either side of the flower panel.  The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and was stamped in Memento Black Ink on Old Olive cardstock and punched out with the Classic Label Punch.

A True Gentleman

Just two quick and simple cards today using the True Gentleman Suite.  I have not had a lot of time for card making the last few weeks but I wanted to share these two projects with you using the same sketch and products from the True Gentleman Suite.

These cards are great for using the Designer Series Paper and building impact by layering and matting the patterned paper.

To make these cards you will need:

A4 cardstock cut in half to create the card base
DSP 14.8cm x 10cm
Cardstock mat - 2 pieces 5.9cm x 7.7cm
DSP - 2 pieces 5.5cm x 7.3cm
Cardstock mat - 2.7cm x 12.9cm
Cardstock 2.3cm x 12.5cm
Starburst Circle
Sentiment from the Truly Tailored stamp set punched with the Tailored Tag Punch
Buttons or Enamel Shapes

Color Theory Daisy Card

Hi everyone, this set of cards is made using the Color Theory Designer Series Paper, Daisy Punch and the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set.

I made the same card using each of the colours in the DSP, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Berry Burst and Dapper Denim.  This would be a great card for a Stamp-a-stack.

To make this card you need the following:

A4 Thick Whisper White cardstock cut in half to create card base.
Basic Black mat 8.2cm x 12.3cm
Whisper White 7.8cm x 11.9cm
DSP 11.9cm x 4.5cm (or 1 3/4" x 4 11/16")

Make the daisy by punching two daisy flowers using the Daisy Punch and adhere these together.  Add a 1/2" circle of Whisper White and a Gold Faceted Gem for the centre.  Cut two leaves from Gold Glimmer paper using the leaf die from the May Flower Framelits.

For the inside of the card you need:

Basic Black mat 14.3cm x 10cm
Whisper White 13.9cm x 9.6cm
Strip DSP .6cm wide (or 1/4")

A Favourite Card Sketch

Hi everyone, using a favourite card sketch for this creation.  The inspiration for my card I found here, however I found the original inspiration came from Narelle Farrugia here.  I love both cards, just changed this up a bit with the card layout, designer series paper, created a tag and added a few Touches of Nature Elements.
