Scented Candles

As soon as I saw these scented tea lights I thought Berry Burst.  Do you find yourself thinking in Stampin' Up! colours like I do?  I do this quite often.

I designed this little box to package them in, using the thick Whisper White cardstock and the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper.  The little floral arrangement was made using the Flourish Thinlits and a small metal rimmed pearl for the flower centre.

Birthday Memories

How amazing is the new Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper. It has all these little birthday critters just perfect for a bit of fussy cutting or to cut out with the matching die.  The Birthday Friends Framelits cut out the Fox and Banner image, one of the poodles, the little girl, birthday cake and a few other small images in the paper. The dies also coordinate with the Birthday Delivery stamp set.

Thank You {a lot}

I cased the catalogue for the stamping layout on this card. The catalogue has some terrific ideas that are great when you need some inspiration.

The colour scheme is Fresh Fig, Powder Pink, Always Artichoke and Basic Black.  I stamped the Fresh Fig flowers first, then the leaves and then filler flowers.  The Basic Black flower centres and small dots were stamped last.

The sentiment was stamped with Basic Black ink and cut out using the Stitched Shape Framelits and the Layering Oval Framelits.

The mat behind the card front is a piece of Copper Foil Sheet.

Delightful Daisy

Need a card in a hurry?  With the Daisy Delight stamp set, Daisy Punch a Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper you can create some beautiful cards within in minutes.

The base card is Wisteria Wonder with the coordinating card mats behind the designer series paper in Pool Party and Whisper White.

The daisy was stamped twice using Wisteria Wonder ink and coloured with Wisteria Wonder ink using the Clear Wink of Stella pen.  The daisies were then punched out using the Daisy Punch and layered together.  A Clear Faceted Gem was added for the flower centre.

The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder stamp set.

Watercolour Emboss Resist

I have been playing with the Wood Words stamp set and created this pretty background piece using the watercolour emboss resist technique.

I stamped the floral image from the Wood Words stamp set on a piece of watercolour paper using Versamark ink and embossed it with White Embossing Powder.  I then used Powder Pink, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso reinkers to watercolour the background.

This was then layered onto a piece of Copper Foil Sheet (Tip:  Cut out the Happy Birthday from the Copper Foil Sheet as you will not see where it has been cut out when the top layer is put in place). Then adhered this to the Powder Pink cardbase.  Adhere the Happy Birthday in place and add some pearls to finish.

Ink Swiping Technique

I was absolutely amazed when I watch the video on this great ink swiping technique by Kim Jolley.  Watch Kim's video and you will see how easy this technique is. I thought that the technique would be a bit messy but this is not the case, so try it out and have some fun.  Kim has several card samples on her blog for you to enjoy.

I have used a colour scheme of Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate and Black (I used Momento Ink).

The word Birthday is from the Happy Birthday Thinlits, this has been cut from Copper Foil Sheet and was left over from a previous project. Don't you just love using up left overs?  The word Happy was stamped on a thin scrap of Whisper White using the Labeler Alphabet stamp set.

This is a quick and simple card to make and would make a great make and take or stamp a stack card.
