Hi everyone, I was on a roll yesterday when I made my card for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge and I made this card at the same time.
I love the Honey Bee stamp set and the Detailed Bee dies, they coordinate beautifully with the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper that you can earn for free as part of Sale-A-Bration when you spend AUD$90.00.
I made a tag for the focal point on my card with the other layers cut at:
- 7.5cm x 11.8cm Designer Series Paper
- 8cm x 12.3cm Basic Black Cardstock
- 9.5cm x 13.8cm Whisper White Cardstock
- 10cm x 14.3cm Basic Black Cardstock
The card base is Crushed Curry and I have die cut some of the elements on the tag from Crushed Curry also. The bee hive I stamped using the Saddle Brown StazOn, give just the right amount of colour variation for the other elements. The bee hive was cut using the matching die.
The bees were stamped with Black Memento ink and the stripes coloured with the Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker before die cutting.
