Saying Goodbye to Cinnamon Cider and Bumblebee

Hi everyone, sharing a suite of cards I made using the colours Cinnamon Cider and Bumblebee from the 2020-2022 In Color Designer Series Paper Pack.  These are two of the colours in that are retiring so I thought I would give them a little send off.

I actually had a lot of strips and small left over pieces from previous projects so I challenged myself on how to use these and this is what I came up with.

This first card uses strips cut at 10cm x 1.5cm, I had a lot of strips this width so I made 6 of these cards with the strips I had.  They will be going into the card stash for sales at work for the Cancer Council of WA.

This card uses strips of various widths, it did not matter what size they were.  I have added strips of Basic Black Cardstock which makes the Cinnamon Cider and Bumble pop on the Basic White card base.

This card uses two pieces of Designer Series Paper cut at 3.6cm x 11.8cm.  I cut the top portion at 5cm and then adhered the top pieces to the oppostie bottom pieces.  The Basic Black strip with the flagged ends hides the join line.  This was card sketch that I saw on Pinterest, however I could not find the originating designer of the sketch to give due credit, so to the person who created this sketch thank you.

This card uses strips of Designer Series Paper and Basic Black Cardstock cut at 1cm widths.  These were adhered to a piece of Basic White Cardstock which was then matted onto a piece of Basic Black Cardstock.

How many ways are there to use the 1cm width strips of Designer Series Paper?  A lot apparently, lol.

This is the final card using the 1cm strips adhered in a random patchwork effect.

I made the sentiment circles all the same, this made making these cards a lot easier.  I used the Painted Label Dies, Layering Circle Dies and the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set.  I added some Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots to finish.

Hope you enjoyed these projects.
