Cut 2 pieces of A4 copy paper 10cm x 14.3cm
Technique
Fold the piece of Brushed Gold cardstock in half to create the
card base.
Take a piece of Whisper White cardstock 9cm x 12.8cm and using the toothbrush flick the Masking Fluid over it. Set aside to dry.

Take the other piece of Whisper White cardstock 9cm x 12.8cm and
place the oval die on it, making sure that it is in the centre (use the 5th
largest die. Eg. count five dies out from the centre of the set) and cut out
with the Bigshot. Put this piece in the
Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder making sure that it is straight and put in through the
Bigshot.
Tear the 2 pieces of A4 copy paper to create the masks for the snow
banks. You will need three snow bank
masks.
Take the 9cm x 12.8cm piece of Whisper White with the Masking
Fluid on it and put the embossed piece over the top and draw around the oval
lightly with a pencil. This creates the section where you are going
to create your scene. Put the embossed
piece to one side for the moment.
Punch out a circle using the 1 ¼” circle punch and the Post-it
Notes. Position this on the top right
corner of the oval, this is the moon.
Position the first snow bank mask on the background piece, about halfway down. I stuck the sides down to the desk mat with tape so I did not have to worry about it moving and I only had to hold the background piece in place when stamping and sponging. Next stamp the trees from the ‘Lovely as a Tree’ stamp set using Always Artichoke, making sure that you do not go onto the moon. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig for this step. If you want the moon behind the trees then remove the moon mask while stamping the trees but put it back on before sponging on the sky. Clean the stamp, move the Stamp-a-ma-jig mask over a fraction and stamp with Versamark ink. Emboss with White Embossing Powder and heat set. Do not remove the snow bank mask from the mat, just slide your background piece out while you emboss it as you need to put the piece back under the mask for the sponging of the sky.

Using Soft Sky, then Marina Mist then Night of Navy sponge on
the sky creating some light patches and some dark patches. Remove the Moon mask and sponge on Soft Sky
and then Marina Mist, making sure to leave a small edge on the moon. Put the
next snow bank mask on and sponge with Soft Sky, Marina Mist then Night of
Navy, making sure that you leave some white for the snow and the darkest edge
is to the bottom of the mask. Do the
same to create the third snow bank.
Stamp the Santa Sleigh and Reindeers at the top of the piece
going over the top of the trees and in front of the moon. Also stamp this on the Whisper White
cardstock piece for the inside of the card, I put the image on the bottom right
hand corner. Using your finger gently rub
over the card to remove the masking fluid.
You can use an Adhesive Remover.
If you need to add more ink over the Moon to take out any areas that are
too white, do so now.
Adhere the embossed piece over the top of the background piece to frame the scene. Adhere to the Night of Navy cardstock and adhere to the Brushed Gold card base. Adhere the inside card piece at this stage also.

Stamp the ‘Merry Christmas” on a piece of Brushed Gold cardstock
with Versamark ink and emboss it with Gold Embossing Powder. Cut this out with the smallest of the Banner
Framelits dies. Adhere to front of card,
you can leave this until you have completed the houses and positioned them to
see where you want to position the sentiment.
Stamp two of the house images from the “Holiday Homes” on the Watercolour paper using Black Staz-on. Using the blender pen colour the houses using Early Espresso, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron and Real Red on one house and Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip (for chimney), So Saffron and Real Red on the other house. Stamp the Christmas lights across the front of the houses with Versamark ink and emboss with Gold embossing powder, heat set. Cut houses out with the Homemade Holiday Homes Framelits dies, you may need to hand trim some of the edge. I put some snow on the houses using a White Gel pen. The houses were then adhered to the front of the card using dimensionals.
