Just a Little Note

Hi everyone, sharing some projects that I made using the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper.  I am still keeping my promise to myself to use my stash of Designer Series Paper instead of hoarding it. I use 3 sheets of 3 designs for these cards.  

The stamp set I have used on these projects is from the Hello Dear Friend All Inclusive Card Kit.  This is one of the things I really like about these card kits is that when you have made up all the cards you still have a great stamp set to use time and time again.

The cards are all the same theme and colour scheme (Misty Moonlight, Bumblebee and Basic White) just changing the layout to get the best out of the 6" x 6" pieces of patterned paper.

For Card 1 (you will get 3 cards of this design) I cut the Designer Series Paper at

• Misty Moonlight DSP 4 1/2" x 1" or 11.4cm x 2.5cm
• Bumblebee Striped DSP 5" x 2" or 12.7cm x 5.1cm
• Bee DSP 4" x 1 5/8" or 10.2cm x 4.2cm

For Card 2 (you will get 4 cards of this design) I cut the Designer Series Paper at

• Misty Moonlight DSP 2" x 4" or 5.1cm x 10.2cm
• Bumblebee Striped DSP 1 1/4" x 5" or 3.2cm x 12.7cm
• Bee DSP 1" x 5" or 2.5cm x 12.7cm

For Card 3 (you will get 4 cards of this design) I cut the Designer Series Paper at

• Misty Moonlight DSP 2" x 4" or 5.1cm x 10.2cm
• Bumblebee Striped DSP 3/4" x 2 1/2" or 1.9cm x 6.4cm (you only need a small piece for either side behind the other pieces, no need for a large piece that goes across the card as it is hidden.  This way you get more out of your patterned paper)
• Bee DSP 1 1/2" x 5" or 3.8cm x 12.7cm (keep the 1" strip left for Card 2)

For the Card 1 (you will get 3 cards of this design) I cut the Designer Series Paper at

• Misty Moonlight DSP 2" x 3" or 5.1cm x 7.6cm
• Bumblebee Striped DSP 3 1/2" x 2" or 8.9cm x 5.1cm
• Bee DSP 2" x 5" or 5.1cm x 12.7cm (keep the 1" strip left for Card 2)

You will have some small pieces left, but not a lot.  You could decorate the inside of the cards with these if you wished.  I decorated the inside of my cards with the small group of Dragonflies from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set.  I stamped this image on the bottom right corner using Bumblebee ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock which was then adhered in place for the card inside.

Just a Little Note

Hello Dear Friend Card Kit Extra Cards

Hi everyone, as promised sharing the cards I made using the extra pieces from the Hello Dear Friend Card Kit.

I cut the six small envelopes down to expose the Old Olive striped inside, these pieces I backed onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock and then adhered these to an Old Olive card bases.  For three of the cards  I used the extra flowers and leaves and die cuts from the kit.  A few Bumblebee Enamel Dots were added to finish the cards.

For the last three cards I die cut some leaves and flowers using the Pierced Bloom Dies.  The sentiment panel is one of the die cuts from the kit.  Again added a few Bumblebee Enamel Dots for finish the cards.

I still have a few sentiment die cuts left which will be using of other cards in the future.

Hello Dear Friend Card Kit Extra Cards

Hello Dear Friend Card Kit

Hi everyone, it was so hot here in Perth, Western Australia today that I kept indoors in the air conditioning.  Naturally I turned to my card making stash to keep myself occupied.  I got out the Hello Dear Friend Card Kit which is available in the current January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue. 

These all inclusive card kits are perfect for making cards in hurry, you do not even have to think about it as all the design work has been done for you. 

I made the first two cards up as per the card kit, just changing the sentiment on the first card.

For the other two cards I made I cut the backs off the base card that is supplied in the kit and added a larger card base as I wanted a normal sized card.  The rest of the cards I made up as per the card kit.

I backed this card onto a Gray Granite card base, but you could use any of the colours in the actual card design.

For the last card in the kit I backed it onto a Purple Posy card base and added a few of the Bumble Bee Enamel Dots from the  2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots.

There are a few other bits left in the kit, you get extras how great is that!  I also had the six small envelopes left.  Tune back in tomorrow to see what I made with these.
