'Z' Fold - To a Wild Rose

Hi everyone sharing the final project that the ladies made at last Sunday's Class.  This is a 'Z' fold card made using the To a Wild Rose stamp set, the matching Wild Rose dies and the gorgeous Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper.

We used the Stamparatus in class to stamp the flower using Terracotta Tile and Petal Pink inks.  The ladies were amazed at how easy it was to stamp the 3 images that make up the flower and they lined up perfectly.  They also love that if you missed stamped then you could just stamp the image again and you would never know that you had missed stamped.

Have you noticed that I have used the To a Wild Rose stamp set a lot lately, this is because I just love it.  I have even left it set up on my Stamparatus as I know that I am going to want to use it again soon, I love it that much.

'Z' Fold - To a Wild Rose

Fundraiser - Junior Diabetes Research Foundation

Hi everyone, sharing the projects that the ladies made at the fundraiser I held yesterday for the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation.

I had 40 ladies attend the fundraiser and they had a great time making the cards and catching up with everyone. We raised $4,040 AUD which I think is an amazing effort by everyone.

A big thank you for all those who supported the day, it is very much appreciated.

I have been designing and cutting up kits for the last 8 weeks (in between working full time), so have not been making a lot of projects to post on my blog so hopefully you enjoy these.

Card 1

This card uses the gorgeous Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper, Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and the Magnolia Memory Dies.

The Magnolia was coloured using Petal Pink (Light & Dark) and Mossy Meadow (Light & Dark) Stampin' Blends.

Card 2

This card uses the Broadway Birthday stamp set. The Designer Series Paper I have used on this card is now retired as I actually designed this card in April ready for my fundraiser.  You could use other Designer Series Paper to get a similar look.

Card 3

This card uses product from the Come Sail Away Suite.  I love all the products in this Suite and I know I will be making a lot of projects using this Suite.

Card 4

This card uses the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Cards and Envelopes and the Free as a Bird stamp set.

The image was coloured using and Aquapainter and Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Blushing Bride, Rococo Rose, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow ink.

Card 5

This card uses the Over the Moon stamp set.  I cannot remember who first stamp the 'Cow Paper' that I have CASED and there are so many demonstrators doing it now that it is hard to find the original idea.  So whomever you are, thank you so much for such a great idea.

I did two variations on how to put this card together.

Card 6

This card uses the oh so pretty Noble Peacock Suite.  How amazing is the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Card 7

This card uses the To a Wild Ride stamp set.  The rose is a 3 step stamped image and the Stamparatus is the perfect tool to use when stamping the rose.  

Card 8

This card uses the Above the Clouds and Waterfront stamp sets and the coordinating Hot Air Balloon Punch.  This card is my favourite,

Fundraiser - Junior Diabetes Research Foundation

Just Add Ink #458 .... Just Add "Q-X-Y-Z"

What a challenge this week at Just Add Ink - Just Add "Q-X-Y-Z".

This challenge really got the thinking cap on to come up with a card that uses one or all of these letters.  I finally decided on the letter 'Y' by adding the word 'YAY!' to my card.

The Designer Series Paper is from the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper Pack.  I used the Amazing Life and Broadway Birthday stamp sets, the word 'YAY!' was coloured with Stampin' Write Markers.

I found this card sketch awhile ago and put it in my card sketch file but forgot to write down where I found it, so apologies to the sketch designer.  It is a great sketch to use up those small pieces of Designer Series Paper that we always keep just in case.

You could make a lot of these cards quickly using the same sketch but changing the sentiment and the Designer Series Paper, great for a card party with a heap of friends.

Just Add Ink #458 .... Just Add "Q-X-Y-Z"

Just Add Ink #454 ... "Colour"

Hi everyone, I am playing along with the colour challenge this week at Just Add Ink.  It has been a few weeks since I last played along with the challenge and I was having withdrawal symptoms.  I do like to create using these challenges as they get me out of my comfort zone and thinking of ways to use my stamps, ink and other goodies.

Did I mention comfort zones?  These colours certainly got me out of mine and I had a few false starts before I created my finished card.

I have used the Broadway Birthday and Make a Difference stamps sets along with the Well Written and Broadway Lights dies.

This would make a great card for the little people in our lives.

Broadway Bound Suite - Day 6

Hi everyone, day 5 of the Broadway Bound Suite showcase.

I always seem to have a favourite sheet in a paper pack.  The sheet with all the candles is my favourite sheet in Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.  

The candles are made by stamping the image in Black Momento on Whisper White cardstock and cut out using the matching Broadway Lights Framelits.  The candle flames were cut from Gold Foil Sheet.

Broadway Bound Suite - Day 5

Broadway Bound Suite - Day 4

Day 4 of the Broadway Bound Suite show case.

The card base is Lovely Lipstick with Gold, Basic Black and Whisper White designer series paper (Tip: You only need to cut 2cm strips for the Gold and Basic Black diagonal striped side pieces, no need to cut a big piece to go across the front of the card).

I love the marquee sign in the centre panel.  This was made using the Broadway Lights Framelits and the Broadway Birthday stamp set.  Gold Metallic Pearls were added around the edge of the marquee sign.

Happy birthday baby brother, hope you have a great day.

I love the Basic Black, Gold, Gray Granite and Whisper White colour scheme.  

I have used the Broadway Birthday stamp set, Broadway Lights Framelits dies.  Some Gold Metallic Pearls were added to finish.

I told you that this paper is pretty amazing.  I have made this same card using the reverse side of these pieces of patterned paper, and this is the finished card.   Just by flipping the pieces of patterned paper over you get this entirely different look.

This card is really great for using up the small scraps you have left from previous projects.  The panels are cut at 3.5cm x 5.6cm and matted onto cardstock cut at 4cm x 6.1cm.

Broadway Bound Suite - Day 2

Broadway Bound Suite - Day 1

I love the suites that Stampin' Up! put together, especially the Broadway Bound Suite.  

I actually got this Suite out to make a birthday card for my baby brother (well he is actually 47 next week, but he will always be my baby brother).  I made his card and then got on a roll to make another for my sister-in-law who turns 50 10 days later (you will have to guess which card I made for my sister-in-law). 

As I was in the card making zone I decided to show case this suite this week.  So I have made a card for each day this week.  I will be posting the card for my brother on his birthday which is Tuesday.

I have used a Lemon Lime Twist card base as this is one of the colours in the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This paper is just gorgeous, on one side it has the Lovely Lipstick, Gray Granite, Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twise and Basic Black colours and on the reverse it has Basic Black, Gray Granite, Whisper White and Gold.

The stamp set used is Broadway Birthday and the dies are the Broadway Lights Framelits.

Don't forget the inside of your card.  I stamped the Make A wish with Black Momento and the Wish in Lovely Lipstick.

Broadway Bound Suite - Day 1

Make a Wish

I just love the Broadway Bound Specialty Design Series Paper and the coordinating Broadway Birthday stamp set and Broadway Lights Framelits.

This is another of the projects that the ladies made last Saturday at the JDRF fundraiser.

I cased the centre panel from the catalogue and designed my card around this panel.  When you are looking for inspiration the catalogue is a great resource to go to for some amazing projects and ideas on how to use the product.
