Tuesday Challenge #12

Hi everyone, can you believe it is the 12th week of my Tuesday Challenge to use a stamp set and other goodies from the Annual Catalogue to create a card or other project.

I keep saying that as I get older the weeks seem to go faster and I really believe this as my weeks just keep flying by.

The stamp sets that I have used on this week's project are the gorgeous Floral Frames and Tea Together.  The Tea Together stamp set is in the Occasions Catalolgue so I did cheat a little in using it but I love the font on this sentiment.   I also needed to make another Mother's Day card for the cards I sell at work for our Cancer Council Relay for Life Team's Fundraising efforts.  With Mother's Day this coming weekend I have been rather busy keeping up with the supply and demand.  It is great that everyone supports our fundraising efforts by buying the cards.

I have also used the coordinating Foliage Frames dies to cut out the background in Champagne Foil Sheet and the leaves using Whisper White and Vellum cardstock.

The centre circle was cut out using the Stitched Shaped Dies with the flowers being stamped in Memento Black ink and coloured with the Light Calypso Coral and Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends.  These were also cut out using the Foliage Frames dies.

I have add a piece of the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon behind the centre arrangement.  It kinda got lost, but you can just see a little bit peeking through the top and bottom.

This card sketch is a favourite when I am wanting use Designer Series Paper on my card front.  The layers for this card are:
  • Designer Series Paper 7.5cm x 11.8cm
  • Calypso Coral Mat 8cm x 12.3cm
  • Whisper White Mat 9cm x 13.3cm
  • Calypso Coral cardbase.
You can add another mat layer at 9.5cm  13.8cm if you wanted to add more layers and contrast.

Don't hoard that paper, get creating with it!  This from the lady with so much Designer Series Paper in her stash it is not funny.  I have been making a concerted effort lately to design my cards around using patterned paper.  The pile is slowly going down.

If you live in Australia
