Hi everyone, I am playing along with the challenge this week at Just Add Ink ... Just Add 'J'.
This challenge really got my thinking cap on. I went through my stamp sets a few times and came up with a few possibilities:
- Just a Note sentiment
- Jars of Love Stamp set
- Journey theme
- Joy Ride (car theme)
- Joy (Christmas theme - a bit too early for this one for me)
I eventually decided on the Journey theme using the One Wild Ride and Artisan Textures stamp sets.
The background was created using the Artisan Textures stamp set with Crushed Curry and Soft Suede inks.
The gears & cogs were distressed with inks and copper embossing. This gives a great rustic look to the finished piece.
The badge in the middle was made using the image from the One Wild Ride stamp set, stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock using Soft Suede ink and stamped again on a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Soft Suede ink. The panel with the word 'Journey' was fussy card and adhere to the badge using dimensionals. I did punch the badge out using the now retired Badge Punch, however it is very easy to fussy cut around this image to get the same look if you do not have this punch.
I added some Copper Metallic Thread and Copper Sequins of the Metallics Sequin Assortment to finish.
