For project No. 7 I cased the Annual Catalogue on page 143 and made this gorgeous vintage style gift bag. To create the floral display the Falling Flowers stamp set and matching May Flowers Framelits was used.
To make the base bag use a piece of thick Very Vanilla cardstock cut to the 11" length. I left the width of the bag at the width of the A4 cardstock. This was punched and scored using the Gift Bag Punch Board and the instructions for the medium bag size. Tip - the instructions and sizes are detailed on the Gift Bag Punch Board.
Note - All the edges of the pieces have been inked with Crumb Cake.
Before putting the bag together, the flourish image was stamped using Soft Suede ink and the small leaf stamped with Early Espresso. The background was then sponged using Crumb Cake ink and the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. You can also spritz this with a mix of Isocol Alchol and Crumb Cake reinker.
Stamp and colour the floral images and cut out the pieces using the May Flowers Framelits. Also cut out a Very Vanilla large open flower piece as the base for the floral arrangement. A 20cm piece of Copper Trim was teased apart and adhered on top of the large open flower before the final floral arrangement was adhered in place.
The closure for the bag is created using the word 'Celebrate' from the Tabs for Everything stamp set punched out using the Classic Label Punch. This was adhered onto a corrugated oval from the Corrugated Elements and then adhered to the Gold Binder Clip with a couple of Glue Dot. A Linen Thread bow was added to finish the closure.

What a lovely color choice you made on this bag. Will try and make a card using these colors. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh, Carolyn! I love your vintage bag!! The sample photo in the catalog is the reason I purchased this bundle in the first place. It never caught my attention until the new catty came out! I love what you have created!
