Can You Case It?

Hi everyone, sharing my card that I made for the Can You Case It Challenge based on this sketch.
143
I have used stamp sets Thoughtful Banners, Gorgeous Grunge and Grateful Bunch along with the matching Blossom Bunch Punch.

Colour scheme of Sweet Sugarplum, Crumb Cake, Copper and Early Espresso.

I love the stitched edging around the square which was made using the Stitched Shapes Framelits, it gives the square a great finish.

The flowers and leaf images were coloured using the Wink of Stella pen and Sweet Sugarplum for the flowers and Early Espresso for the leaf and stem.  It gives a lovely shimmer to the card.

A piece of Copper Metallic Thread was added along with some sequins to finish.

Thank you for visiting.

Carolyn

  1. Hi there, just popped into your blog from the Mojo Monday Sketch and have had a nice visit. Your cards are just lovely. I have a question though....you appear to have a nice photograph background box which are in all of your photo's. Can you buy one of those from Stampin' Up? Kind Regards, Judith

    1. Hi Judith, I made the photo box from 5 canvases that I picked up at Kmart. I just stapled them together with a heavy duty staple gun. I then cut 2 pieces of patterned paper to fit, this woodgrain background was in a Stampin' Up! paper pack about 2 years ago. I am sure that you could get something similar now from your craft shop.
      Cheers, Carolyn.

  2. Beautiful card, Carolyn! I love the watercolored background, it really makes the flowers pop. The splashes of copper are perfect accents to finish the card. Thanks for playing along with CYCI! ~ Crystal

  4. Fantastic card! I really like the watercolour wash and grunge stamping that grounds the stitched frame and flowers. Great colour combination too.
