#CTC213 Sunday Challenge

Hi everyone, I have joined in the CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge this week.

cover photo, Image may contain: text

The #CTC213 challenge is to CASE something from pages 10-13 of the Occasions Catalogue.

No photo description available.

For my card I cased the Petal Pink Vellum background on the card in the top left corner of page 10 and the decorative oval and floral spray on the card in the bottom right corner of page 10 of the Occasions Catalogue.

I love the pretty look of the finished card.

Freshly Made Sketches #372

Hi everyone, I am playing along with the challenge this week at Freshly Made Sketches.
I have used one of the Sale-a-bration items, the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper on my card.  I love the images that can be cut using the Butterfly Duet Punch.  You can colour these images or leave them black and white as I have done.

I went with a classic colour scheme of Basic Black & Whisper White with a touch of Smoky Slate.   The stamp sets that I have used are Itty Bitty Greetings and Artisan Textures.

I used the image from the Artisan Textures stamp set on the long panel behind the butterflies, stamping with Smoky Slate ink and using the stamping off technique to get a lighter shade of the colour.

#CTC212 Sunday Challenge

Hi everyone, I joined in the CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge this week.

cover photo, Image may contain: text

The challenge #CTC212 is to CASE something from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue.

You can CASE directly or be inspired by a sketch/layout, colour combo or embellishment.

I have CASEd the butterfly elements on pages 8 & 9 and also the front cover as well as the White and Black dotted designer series paper.

I made a set of 4 small birthday cards that fit the 3" x 3" envelopes and decorated a pizza box to package them in.  This is a great little gift.

I have used two of the Sale-A-Bration items that you can choose if you spend $90 or more during the Sale-A-Bration promotion, the Butterfly Elements and the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper.

Wonderful Romance

Hi everyone, I am sharing another card made using the Floral Romance Suite.

This is one of the cards that the ladies made at my card class this week.

The Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder was a hit with the ladies, they loved the finished effect.

#simplestamping

Hi everyone, I am sharing two cards I made for this month's Stampin' Up! #simplestamping challenge.

The January #simplestamping Challenge is

  • Theme - Valentine's Day
  • Supplies - Stamps, ink and paper
  • Bonus Material/Tool - Punch

My first card uses the gorgeous Lasting Lily stamp set that is one of the free Sale-A-Bration stamp sets that you can choose if you spend $90 or more during the Sale-A-Bration promotion.

My second card uses the Floral Frames stamp set.  I did use the Wink of Stella pen on the flowers which creates a subtle shade of the stamped image.

Floral Romance Suite

The Floral Romance Suite is one of my favourite product lines in the new Occasions Catalogue.

I designed these cards and little bag from one sheet of the patterned paper from the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper for our recent Stamparoo's Camp at York.  I also used part of one of the printed Vellum Sheets (I love these sheets) to fussy cut the flowers and leaves that I have used as embellishments.

It all started with this card that I made for a recent Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.  I love the rich colours of the designer series paper, and the woodgrain pattern on the reverse makes it ideal for a one sheet wonder as it gives you so many options.

The little bag I found on Pinterest but could not work out who actually designed it, so apologies for not giving credit where it is due.  The original little bag was a lot shorter, however I wanted a size to fit a bar of my homemade soap so I played around with the sizing until I got the size I wanted.

I have done a mix of watercolouring with ink pads and an aquapainter, watercolour pencils and an aquapainter and also the Stampin' Blends.  This gives a good contrast across the cards and also provides a medium that people are happy using to colour the images.

This card is actually the last card I made, I had 3 small pieces of patterned paper left so this is the card layout that I designed to use them up.  No waste here.

In designing my cards I was trying to use all the products in the suite as I felt it would make a great product based class.  On this card I have used the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to emboss the card front.

This card shows the great use of the other side of the designer series paper.  This card is quite simply to make with some fussy cutting for the vellum flowers and leaves, stamping and die cutting.

On this card I used an actual full strip of the designer series paper, however if you only had small pieces left you could still do this design and you only need to tuck the pieces behind the centre panel, they do not need to go all the way across.

This card shows another use for the lattice edging die.

I have used Basic Black as mats throughout the cards as it provides a contrast that highlights the other colours in the cards.

Happiest Birthday To You

I am in York this weekend with our Stamparoo's Stampin' Up! Team.  York is about 96km East of Perth and we are staying at Lavendale Farm which is about 10 minutes south of York on the road to Beverley.

We had to create a project for a shoebox swap for the weekend.  This is my card I made using the Needlepoint Nook Suite, I love the stitching detail in the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper and also in the images from the Needle & Thread stamp set.

This is one of my favourite card sketches as you can get 12 cards from one sheet of 12" x 12" piece of patterned paper.

To make this card you will need the following:
  • Poppy Parade card base
  • Designer Series Paper 5cm x 14.8cm
  • Whisper White cardstock 6cm x 12cm (round the corners on this piece)
  • Blushing Bride cardstock for the Label behind the floral arrangement
  • Scraps of Old Olive cardstock for the leaves
  • Scraps of Whisper White cardstock for the flower, butterfly and the background leaf display.

Freshly Made Sketches #369

Hi Everyone

I am playing along with the challenge this week at Freshly Made Sketches creating a card using this great sketch.

For my card I have used a new stamp set "Wonderful Romance" with the coordinating "Wonderful Floral Framelits" which is available in the new Occasions Catalogue.  The piece of Designer Series Paper is one of my favourites from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Pack.

The Wonderful Floral Framelits have some great leaf and foliage dies which I have used to create the foliage spray behind the decorative sentiment oval.

The sentiment is from the Wonderful Romance stamp set with the decorative oval created using the Wonderful Floral Framelits.

I have been playing with the Floral Romance Suite and will be posting more cards and projects made using these products in the next couple of weeks.

Thank you for visiting.
