Broadway Bound Suite - Day 3

Happy birthday baby brother, hope you have a great day.

I love the Basic Black, Gold, Gray Granite and Whisper White colour scheme.

I have used the Broadway Birthday stamp set, Broadway Lights Framelits dies.  Some Gold Metallic Pearls were added to finish.

I told you that this paper is pretty amazing.  I have made this same card using the reverse side of these pieces of patterned paper, and this is the finished card.   Just by flipping the pieces of patterned paper over you get this entirely different look.

Broadway Bound Suite - Day 2

Hi everyone, day 2 of the Broadway Bound Suite.

This card is really great for using up the small scraps you have left from previous projects.  The panels are cut at 3.5cm x 5.6cm and matted onto cardstock cut at 4cm x 6.1cm.

Again don't forget the inside of your card.

Broadway Bound Suite - Day 1

I love the suites that Stampin' Up! put together, especially the Broadway Bound Suite.

I actually got this Suite out to make a birthday card for my baby brother (well he is actually 47 next week, but he will always be my baby brother).  I made his card and then got on a roll to make another for my sister-in-law who turns 50 10 days later (you will have to guess which card I made for my sister-in-law).

As I was in the card making zone I decided to show case this suite this week.  So I have made a card for each day this week.  I will be posting the card for my brother on his birthday which is Tuesday.

I have used a Lemon Lime Twist card base as this is one of the colours in the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This paper is just gorgeous, on one side it has the Lovely Lipstick, Gray Granite, Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twise and Basic Black colours and on the reverse it has Basic Black, Gray Granite, Whisper White and Gold.

The stamp set used is Broadway Birthday and the dies are the Broadway Lights Framelits.

Don't forget the inside of your card.  I stamped the Make A wish with Black Momento and the Wish in Lovely Lipstick.

Pretty Pines Christmas

Hi Everyone, sharing another of my Christmas cards I made last weekend using the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper.

I have used the Christmas Pines stamp set and the matching Pretty Pines Thinlits for my card.

This card has a lot of layers but is actually quite easy to make with a little stamping and die cutting.

Cookie Cutter Christmas

Hi Everyone, sharing another of my Christmas cards that I made last weekend.

I like this card layout as it lets you make a lot of cards from two sheets of the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper which is perfect for me as I need to make a lot of cards for our Cancer Council Relay for Life Team fundraising efforts..  The patterned paper is cut at 3.5cm x 5.6cm with the Old Olive mats cut at 4cm x 6.1cm.  The white mat is cut at 9.5cm x 13.8cm with a standard card base.

I have used the Cookie Cutter Christmas and Seasonal Chums stamp sets on this card.  Santa was coloured with Stampin' Write markers and also the Ivory Stampin' Blend.  He was punched out using the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.

Christmas in July

With the weather here in Perth being, wet and windy all weekend it was a good time to stay in doors and have a play in my craft room (not that I need an excuse).  I decided to make some Christmas cards using the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper.

I make Christmas cards each year for work as part of our fundraising efforts for our Cancer Council Relay for Life Team.  Last year I made 224 Christmas Cards and I left it to the last minute, so this year I am getting a head start.

This is my 1st card, I will be sharing a few more during the week.

This card uses the Christmas Pines stamp set and the Pretty Pines Thinlits.

Happy Birthday To You

Hi everyone, just sharing a quick and easy card with you using the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.

I love this paper pack, but I will admit when I first opened it and saw the sheet with all the logs on it I thought how would I use that paper.  Well I can tell you that it has become my favourite sheet in the paper stack, I get rather frugal when cutting it so that I can get as many cards as possible out of the sheet.

I have used a standard Basic Black card base for my card, a piece of the lighter Wood Textures Designer Series Paper cut at 14.3cm x 10cm, a Basic Black cardstock strip cut at 10.5cm x 2cm with the centre panel being Basic Black cardstock 6cm x 10.3cm and the Log patterned paper cut at 5.5cm x 9.8cm.  The sentiment is stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla and cut out using the second smallest square Stitched Shape Framelit and layered onto a Basic Black scalloped square cut using the Layering Square Framelits.  The sentiment is from the Best Bunny stamp set.  The finishing touches are a Copper Leaves Trinket and two Silver Faceted Gems which I coloured with the Bronze Stampin' Blend.

My 1st Christmas Card for 2018

I have succumbed and made my 1st Christmas Card for 2018.

Using the 'Under the Mistletoe' Designer Series Paper, 'Labels to Love' stamp set and the 'Everyday Label' punch I put together this quick and easy Christmas Card.  I am making a bunch of these for work with the proceeds going to our Cancer Council Relay for Life Team fundraising efforts

A Tranquil Birthday

I just love the 'Share What You Love' Specialty Designer Series Paper.  My favourite sheet is the one with the Mint Macaron and Tranquil Tide colours on one side and the Crumb Cake design on the other.  I always seem to have a favourite sheet in a paper pack and another sheet that I just do not like.  This has not happened with this this paper pack, it is just gorgeous.

I had a small scrap of the paper left from a project so I fussy cut some of the flowers and a small strip of the Crumb Cake pattern and created this little posy for my card front.  The card base is Tranquil Tide and the Whisper White piece has been put through the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This gives a great texture to the background cardstock piece.

Added a Pearlised Doily, some Basic Black Metallic Thread (this is retired but you could add some Silver), a Heart from the Corrugated Elements and a few sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment to finish.

Happy Birthday!

Do you ever see something in the shops and wonder what you can do with it or how you could decorate it?  I confess I do.   I purchased some mini round tins from K-Mart a while a go but never got around to doing anything with them.  I pulled them out of my stash to see what inspiration came to mind.

Naturally as the tin is round, the Daisy Punch had to figure in how I was going to decorate the mini tin.

I used the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series paper  to decorate the lid and bottom of the tin.  The top of the lid was decorated using a 2 1/2" circle and a Pearlized Doily.  The Gerbera flower was made by punching out 6 daisy flowers and curling the petals with the bone folder and layering them all together.  The centre is a 1/2" black circle, made using the 1/2" circle punch and a Gold Faceted Gem.   The gold leaves were made using Gold Glimmer Paper and the leaf die from the May Flowers Framelits.

A matching card make a perfect gift.

Hope Today Is One Wild Ride

Sharing one of the cards that the ladies made at the recent Junior Diabetes Research Foundation fundraiser.

This card uses the One Wild Ride stamp set.

The background was stamped using Smoky Slate and the Badge image in the set.  This is a great way to make your own designer series paper to match your project.

I love the colours of Red, White and Black together, the little touch of Smoky State contrasts well with these colours.

Friend

Hi everyone, sharing another of the projects from my recent Junior Diabetes Research Foundation fundraiser.

I love the colours of Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Whisper White together.  They create such a fresh look to the finished card.

I have used the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Love What You Do stamp set.  The pearls were coloured with the Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Blend.

Polished Stone

I had a play with the 'Polished Stone' Technique today using the colours of Soft Suede and Balmy Blue.

I love the finished effect but found it a bit overwhelming to use the entire piece as a card front.  I cut it down to a 10.5cm x 5.5cm piece for the top of my card.  A strip of Champagne Foil Sheet was added beneath this.

The centre panel, matted onto a piece of Champagne Foil Sheet, was stamped with Soft Suede and Crumb Cake ink.  The leaf spaying was made by stamping the leaves in Soft Suede and die cutting, a Champagne Foil embossed leaf with one of the Leaves Trinkets and a Linen Thread bow added to finish.

Make a Wish

I just love the Broadway Bound Specialty Design Series Paper and the coordinating Broadway Birthday stamp set and Broadway Lights Framelits.

This is another of the projects that the ladies made last Saturday at the JDRF fundraiser.

I cased the centre panel from the catalogue and designed my card around this panel.  When you are looking for inspiration the catalogue is a great resource to go to for some amazing projects and ideas on how to use the product.

Best Bunny Birthday

I was having withdrawal symptoms this morning from watching everyone card making yesterday at the fundraiser I held.  I was busy helping everyone so had no opportunity to stamp.  This is what I made using the Best Bunny stamp set, Bunny Builder punch along with several other stamp sets, punches and dies.

I just needed a little creative fix before unpacking from yesterday and putting everything back where it belongs.
